The Giants announced (on their team Twitter account) that shortstop Brandon Crawford has been signed to a six-year contract extension. The deal covers his final two years of salary arbitration and four years of free agency.

It’ll be worth $75 million guaranteed with no options and a full no-trade clause, according to FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal.

Crawford had a sensational 2015 for San Francisco, earning his first All-Star nod, Gold Glove Award, and Silver Slugger Award after posting career highs in OPS, home runs, doubles, RBI, and runs scored. He’s always been sharp defensively, and now the offense is catching up at age 28.
