Five days after a fastball to the face sent him to the hospital with multiple facial fractures and dental damage Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton posted a before-and-after picture to show how much he’s improved.
Stanton also included this note:
The Aftermath...Making huge progress!! Want to thank everyone who has played a part in my recovery process. Your kind messages, thoughts & prayers have meant the world to me. Pushing forward.
Stanton hasn’t totally given up on returning to play again this season, but it’s obviously unlikely.
