Major League Baseball just announced the rosters of the Futures Game, which takes place on the Sunday before the All-Star Game.
As the league’s press release notes, the U.S. team features 13 former first round draft picks, two second round picks and three players picked in the Compensation Round between first and second. The World team features one Compensation Round pick. Six of the first round picks are from the 2014 Draft, three in the 2013 Draft, two in the 2012 Draft and two in the 2011 Draft.
The World Team features players from seven different countries and territories, with The Dominican Republic being represented by 13 players, Venezuela five, Puerto Rico three, and Curacao, Germany, Nicaragua and Taiwan each having one.
