According to CBS Sports’ Jon Heyman, right-hander Esmil Rogers has signed with the Hanwha Eagles of the Korea Baseball Organization for $1 million.
Rogers made 18 relief appearances with the Yankees earlier this season and posted a 6.27 ERA and 31/14 K/BB ratio over 33 innings. The 29-year-old was outrighted off the 40-man roster a month ago and was given his formal release by the Yankees on Friday.
Rogers has compiled a 5.59 ERA over parts of seven seasons in the majors.
