Stud prospect Dylan Bundy made his big-league debut for the Orioles yesterday, as the 19-year-old former No. 4 overall pick came into the eighth inning of a 2-1 game against the Red Sox.

Bundy needed just seven pitches to record two outs--both via fly balls--and there was no bottom of the ninth inning, so his debut was a brief one.

It was still pretty impressive, though. Ryan Lavernway and Danny Valencia aren’t exactly big-name hitters, but Bundy’s raw stuff was every bit as impressive as advertised. He threw a fastball on five of his seven pitches, averaging 94 miles per hour, and both sliders Bundy threw were strikes (one swinging, one looking).

Not bad for a guy who began this season at low Single-A and won’t be 20 years old for another two months.
