Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register reports that the Dodgers have placed outfielder Yasiel Puig on the 15-day disabled list with a right hamstring injury. Infield prospect Jose Peraza has been recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Puig left Thursday night’s game against the Reds after trying to leg out an infield single against Aroldis Chapman. The hamstring injury is his second of the season, as he also missed time between April 25 and June 5 with a left hamstring strain. He hits the shelf batting .256/.324/.440 with 11 home runs and 38 RBI in 306 plate appearances.

Peraza, acquired from the Braves on July 30 as part of a three-team trade that also included the Marlins, batted .167 over six at-bats in his first stint in the majors earlier this month. MLB.com rated him the 38th-best overall prospect in baseball entering the 2015 season.
