The threat of rain loomed over tonight’s nationally-broadcast Yankees/Red Sox game, initially delaying the start of the game by 45 minutes. Against Yankees starter Hiroki Kuroda, the Red Sox scored once in each of the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings. The run in the sixth came on a David Ortiz home run that inspired this great celebratory bat flip, courtesy @CorkGaines:

Shortly afterwards, the rain started to fall, putting the game into another rain delay. The game is official, however.
