It’s a big day for the Cardinals’ lineup getting healthy.
Not only is first baseman Matt Adams starting his first game since late May, the Cardinals have also activated left fielder Matt Holliday from the disabled list after he missed the past six weeks--and most of the past three months--with a quadriceps injury.
Holliday is not in the starting lineup tonight, but is expected to see regular playing time down the stretch. He’s played 63 games this season, hitting .290 with four homers and an .830 OPS for his 12th straight year with an OPS above .800.
