Mitch White has agreed to a one-year, $1 million contract with the SSG Lenders in the Korea Baseball Organization.
The 29-year-old right-hander was well-traveled during the 2024 season, seeing big league action with the Blue Jays, Brewers and Giants before he was sent outright to Triple-A in early June. He’ll attempt to rebuild his stock with a strong season overseas.

Brewers sent RHP Mitch White outright to Triple-A Nashville.
White had been designated for assignment last week to clear a spot on the Brewers’ roster for Kevin Herget. He’ll report to Triple-A Nashville though and continue to function as additional bullpen depth for the club.
  • MIL Relief Pitcher #57
Brewers recalled RHP Kevin Herget from Triple-A Nashville.
Herget already has one save and a 4.91 ERA in 3 2/3 innings out of the Brewers’ bullpen this year. He’s been solid in Triple-A, posting a 2.60 ERA and 0.98 WHIP with a 19/4 K/BB ratio in 17 1/3 innings. Mitch White was waived in a corresponding move.
  • MIL Relief Pitcher #58
Brewers designated RHP Mitch White for assignment.
The 29-year-old was acquired from the Giants on May 10th. He made six appearances out of the bullpen for the Brewers, allowing six earned runs on eight hits in 8 1/3 innings. White has now been on three teams already in 2024, posting a 7.23 ERA in 23 2/3 innings as a multi-inning reliever.
  • MIL Relief Pitcher #54
Brewers acquired RHP Mitch White from the Giants for cash considerations.
The 29-year-old right-hander is on the move once again after being designated for assignment by the Giants last weekend. He’s talented enough that teams are still willing to take a chance on him, but so far he just hasn’t been able to put it all together at the big league level.
  • SF Relief Pitcher #54
Giants designated RHP Mitch White for assignment.
The Giants were faced with a 40-man roster crunch after losing a pair of catchers to injury, so they needed to free up a spot to add Jakson Reetz on Sunday and White was left as the odd-man out. The 29-year-old right-hander could attract some interest on waivers.
  • SF Starting Pitcher #45
Giants acquired RHP Mitch White from the Blue Jays for cash considerations.
White, who had been designated for assignment by the Blue Jays earlier in the week, will add some much-needed rotation depth for the Giants. Alex Cobb was transferred to the 60-day injured list in a corresponding move.
  • TOR Starting Pitcher #45
Blue Jays designated RHP Mitch White for assignment.
White will hit waivers after the Blue Jays activated Erik Swanson and Jordan Romano from the injured list. The 29-year-old made four appearances with Toronto and posted a 54.0 ERA in 10 innings pitched this season.
  • TOR Starting Pitcher #34
Blue Jays manager John Schneider told reporters Ricky Tiedemann, Yariel Rodriguez, Wes Parson, Mitch White and Paolo Espino are options for the season-opening roster if Kevin Gausman (shoulder) isn’t ready.
Gausman’s health coming out of Monday’s scheduled start, which will either be a Grapefruit League or minor league outing, will determine whether he’ll be on the Opening Day roster. The 33-year-old veteran righty is expected to throw roughly 60-65 pitches in his next outing as he continues to build up his workload and stamina. Of that group, Tiedemann would be the most interesting as a brief stopgap, but it’ll likely only be a short stay in the majors with Gausman seemingly close to being ready to return already.
  • TOR Starting Pitcher #45
Mitch White yielded one run in three innings Tuesday in relief against the Pirates.
White hasn’t been sharp in walking six and allowing three runs in six innings this spring, but it’s notable that his velocity is up; he averaged 96.4 mph with his fastball today, 2.5 mph better than where he was at last year. He and Bowden Francis appear to be the top candidates to step in to Toronto’s rotation if Alek Manoah goes on the IL.
