MLB officials plan to review a clubhouse incident in which Milton Bradley called a Los Angeles Times reporter an “Uncle Tom.”
Since there was no physical confrontation, this probably won’t result in another suspension for Bradley. The outfielder and reported Jason Reid are expected to meet today and resolve their differences.

The Dodgers have no plans to non-tender Milton Bradley after his latest run-in with the law, but GM Paul DePodesta thinks the outfielder would be smart to forego arbitration.
The Dodgers could use Bradley’s problems against him in an arbitration hearing. They’d rather sign him before the non-tender date. Bradley earned $1.73 million in 2004, his first year of arbitration eligibility. He’s probably due somewhere around $3 million for 2005.

Milton Bradley isn’t interested in moving to a corner in order to allow J.D. Drew to play center field.
The Dodgers are giving thought to making the switch because they believe Drew is less likely to reinjure his knee playing center. Bradley was willing to move to a corner last season following Steve Finley’s acquisition, but he doesn’t want to be asked to play right field now. ''That won’t happen,’' he said. ''I don’t believe it will. It really wouldn’t make sense for a guy who has played right field his whole career to start playing center when you have a capable center fielder already.’'

Since May 13 when Milton Bradley moved into the cleanup spot, the Indians are 12-6, including a five-game winning streak.
Bradley has raised his OPS from 942 to 972 since the switch, and has driven in 13 runs over his last nine games, as opposed to just eight RBI over his first 32 games.

Manager Eric Wedge did not guarantee that Milton Bradley would play tonight, saying, ''We’re taking it day by day.’'
Wedge says whatever episode occurred between himself and Bradley is over. Bradley has not been fined. Doesn’t seem to be any reason not to put him in tonight’s lineup, then.

Mets GM Jim Duquette confirmed yesterday that he has interest in acquiring Milton Bradley to play right field.
The Mets likely will offer Aaron Heilman or Tyler Yates and perhaps one of their second-tied offensive prospects for Bradley. Scott Kazmir and David Wright figure to be off limits.

According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the Rangers won’t be major players for Milton Bradley.
The Dodgers, Mets and A’s seem to be the teams most interested in Bradley. The Rangers considered putting together a proposal that would include Kevin Mench, but it seems that they’ve settled on pursuing a lesser outfielder.

The Dodgers hope to have Milton Bradley return from his sprained ankle later this week.
Bradley was available for pinch-hitting duties as a right-hander last night. His return is uncertain, but it sounds like it will be a few more games.

Milton Bradley sat out a third consecutive game because of a sprained left ankle but is expected to return Tuesday.
The Dodgers dropped two of three home games to the lowly Expos with Bradley out. He’s day-to-day.

The Dodgers should soon announce that they’ve avoided arbitration with Milton Bradley.
It will be a one-year deal. Bradley is going to need to stay out of trouble for some length of time if he ever hopes to get a multiyear contract.
