Daniel Alvarez-Montes of El Extra Base reports that the Dodgers have exercised their $5 million club option on Miguel Rojas.
This was likely an easy one, as Rojas was a .283 hitter with a .748 OPS over 103 games while playing quality defense up the middle. Even if Rojas is more of a utility player than someone who is in the lineup every single day — probably somewhere in-between — that makes his $5 million salary for 2025 a pittance.
  • LAD Shortstop #11
Miguel Rojas (thigh) will play shortstop and bat ninth against the Yankees in Game 2 of the World Series on Saturday.
Rojas missed the NLCS with a hernia injury. He’s set to have surgery this offseason, but will continue to play through the injury as he did in the NLDS. He’s essentially starting over Gavin Lux against the Yankees’ left-hander Carlos Rodon while Tommy Edman goes to centerfield and Enrique Hernandez plays second base. The Dodgers lineup: Shohei Ohtani DH, Mookie Betts RF, Teoscar Hernández LF, Freddie Freeman 1B, Tommy Edman CF, Enrique Hernández 2B, Max Muncy 3B, Will Smith C, Miguel Rojas SS and Yoshinobu Yamamoto on the mound.
  • LAD Shortstop #11
Miguel Rojas was added to the World Series roster by the Dodgers.
Rojas missed the NLCS with a hernia injury; an injury that will require surgery in the offseason. The shortstop is in, and Kevin Kiermaier will not be a part of the 26-man roster for the Fall Classic against the Yankees.
  • LAD Shortstop #11
Miguel Rojas said he’ll need hernia surgery after the playoffs, but he remains hopeful of returning if the Dodgers advance to the World Series.
Rojas was left off the NLCS roster after aggravating what was originally described as an adductor injury in Game 3 of the NLDS. Surgery shouldn’t prevent him from being ready for the start of 2025.
  • LAD Shortstop #11
Miguel Rojas (groin) is not a part of the NLCS roster for the Dodgers.
Rojas aggravated a previous groin injury he had dealt with in the 2024 campaign, and the Dodgers will not like the 35-year-old take part on the Championship Series. As expected, Alex Vesla (ribs) is also not able to go for the best-of-seven set. Kevin Kiermaier takes Rojas’ place on the roster, with Brent Honeywell the substitution for Vesla.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters Miguel Rojas would only be available to pinch hit in Game 5 of the NLDS against the Padres on Friday.
Rojas left Game 3 of the series after aggravating his groin injury. He sat out Game 4 and at best he’ll be available for a pinch hit at-bat in Game 5. Tommy Edman will play shortstop for Los Angeles in Game 5.
  • LAD Shortstop #11
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts is hopeful of getting Miguel Rojas back for a potential Game 5 after holding him out of the Game 4 lineup on Wednesday.
Rojas aggravated his adductor strain last night and left the game against the Padres. He might be available to pinch-hit tonight, but the Dodgers would prefer not to use him.
  • LAD First Baseman #5
Freddie Freeman, who tweaked his injured ankle again in Game 3, is starting at first base in Wednesday’s Game 4 against the Padres.
Miguel Rojas is absent after aggravating his groin injury Tuesday, so it’s a dos Hernández lineup for the Dodgers tonight. The lineup: DH Shohei Ohtani, RF Mookie Betts, 1B Freeman, RF Teoscar Hernández, 3B Max Muncy, C Will Smith, 2B Gavin Lux, SS Tommy Edman, CF Enrique Hernández.
  • LAD Shortstop #11
Miguel Rojas (adductor) was removed from Game 3 of the NLDS against the Padres on Tuesday.
Rojas was visited in the field by the Dodgers trainer in the bottom of the second inning, but stayed in the game. After a single and advancing to third base in the top of the third inning, Andy Pages pinch ran for Rojas. Pages stayed in the game to play center field while Tommy Edman moved to shortstop. Rojas has been playing through a torn adductor muscle and will need surgery this offseason.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters that Miguel Rojas (adductor) is in the lineup for Game 1 of the NLDS against the Padres on Saturday.
Rojas has a torn adductor muscle and he’ll need surgery in the offseason, but he’ll be able to play through it through the postseason.
