Michael Toglia went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run, a double, and a walk in a 3-2 win over the Brewers on Friday.
Toglia’s long ball wound up as the decisive blow in this game and spun it on a dime as Frankie Montas had carved up the Rockies’ lineup through five innings. It’s getting harder and harder to ignore Toglia’s breakout. He’s made huge strides with his plate discipline with a 70th percentile chase rate – up from 42nd last season – and 64th percentile SEAGER – up from 53rd last season. Consistent contact will continue to be an issue, but he understands which pitches to attack and does serious damage when he connects. Another fun stat, he has a higher OPS on the road than he does at Coors Field this season. He can help you add power down the stretch and is a name to watch next season.

Michael Toglia went 2-for-3 with a solo homer and four runs scored against the Yankees on Saturday.
Toglia drew a walk to lead off the second inning and scored on a sacrifice fly by Nolan Jones. He reached base on catcher interference in the third and scored again on a double by Jones. Toglia then went deep in the fifth with a solo blast off Mark Leiter Jr., his 21st of the season. He’d reach for a fourth time in the seventh on a base hit and scored his fourth run on a two-run shot by Jake Cave. The 26-year-old first baseman has hit well in August, batting .279 with three homers in the month.

Michael Toglia clubbed a two-run homer on Saturday, but it wasn’t enough to power the Rockies past the Padres.
The Rockies had been shut out on just one hit through the first five innings, but they found life in the sixth as they scratched out a run while Brendan Rodgers bounced into a double play and then Toglia followed with a two-run homer that trimmed their deficit to four runs. He also drew a walk in the contest, finishing the night 1-for-3. On the season, the 26-year-old first baseman is now hitting .221/.299/.498 to go with 20 homers and 45 RBI in 78 games.

Michael Toglia slugged a solo homer on Saturday, but it wasn’t enough to power the Rockies past the Giants in the first game of their doubleheader.
Toglia evened the score in the ballgame with a 367-foot solo shot off of Ryan Walker in the seventh inning. He struck out twice in the contest, finishing the night 1-for-4. On the season, the 25-year-old slugger is now hitting .212/.276/.502 with 17 homers and 38 RBI.

Michael Toglia went 3-for-4 with three solo home runs in an 8-5 win over the Mets on Sunday.
Toglia gives new meaning to the phrase “all-or-nothing” hitter. His three home runs on Sunday gave him six on the Rockies’ seven game road trip. Toglia had just six hits in total on this trip! He’s also up to 16 homers on the season and has 34 total hits. That means 47% of his total hits this season have left the yard. His last single came on July 7th and his last double on June 17th. That is unbelievable.

Michael Toglia went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in a loss to the Nationals on Sunday.
Toglia took Jake Irvin deep 462 feet at 111 mph for his seventh home run of the season. He also struck out twice and is hitting just .194 on the season. The 25-year-old has shown solid plate discipline and good pop in the minors and is hitting 16-for-61 (.262) in June with three home runs and 13 RBI. He also has 23 strikeouts in 17 games. It’s unlikely this kind of production will last, but when he has weeks where he plays all his games at Coors Field, he can be added in deeper formats for teams in need of power.
