Luis Robert Jr. remains out of the lineup for Wednesday’s game against the Tigers.
Robert will sit out his second straight game as the White Sox give him some extra time off to continue making adjustments. The 27-year-old speedster has been scuffling of late, hitting .154 (8-for-52) with 19 strikeouts over his past 15 contests. It’ll be veteran Michael A. Taylor patrolling center field again on Tuesday night at Rate Field.

Michael A. Taylor filled up the box score in Tuesday night’s 8-1 victory over the visiting Tigers, going 1-for-2 with a homer, four RBI, two runs scored, a walk and a stolen base.
Taylor snapped a scoreless tie as he worked Brennan Hanifee for a two-out bases-loaded walk in the fourth inning. He then broke the game wide open with a 396-foot (102.8 mph EV) three-run blast off of Tyler Holton with two outs in the sixth inning. Taylor also walked in the eighth inning, swiped second base and scored on an RBI single off the bat of Mike Tauchman. He has been pretty underwhelming overall on the season, slashing .206/.277/.374 with three homers, 14 RBI and seven stolen bases in 120 plate appearances.

Luis Robert Jr. remains out of the lineup for Wednesday’s game against the Mets due to knee soreness.
It seemed like a routine day off for Robert when he didn’t play on Tuesday, but it turns out he’s dealing with a minor knee issue. The Chicago Sun-Times’ Kyle Williams reports Robert said he’ll be ready for Friday’s series opener against Baltimore. The 27-year-old has produced fantasy value this season due to his 21 stolen bases, but he’s hitting just .190/.276/.307 with a 29 percent strikeout rate. If it weren’t for the steals, he’d likely be on waiver wires in many fantasy leagues. Michael A. Taylor will start in center field and bat eighth in Robert’s place.

Luis Robert Jr. is not in the lineup for Tuesday’s showdown against the Mets.
It appears to be a routine off day for Robert, who has picked up a stolen base in four consecutive contests and leads the majors with 21 thefts in 50 games. He’s no stranger to physical issues, but he’s managed to stay mostly healthy this season. It’s his first day off since May 13. It’ll be Michael A. Taylor patrolling center field on Tuesday night in his place.

Luis Robert Jr. (knee) remains out of the lineup for Sunday’s series finale against the Marlins.
Robert will take a seat for the second consecutive contest as he deals with right knee soreness. There doesn’t appear to be a high-degree of concern at the moment, but it’s an ongoing situation fantasy managers should monitor. It’ll be capable veteran Michael A. Taylor patrolling center field on Sunday afternoon in his absence.
  • CWS Center Fielder #21
Michael A. Taylor went 1-for-3 with an RBI double and a run scored on Friday night as the White Sox bested the Marlins.
The 34-year-old outfielder drove in Brooks Baldwin with a go-ahead RBI double in the second inning that made it a 2-1 ballgame. He then drew a walk and scored during the White Sox’ three-run uprising in the seventh inning. On the season, Taylor is slashing a troublesome .197/.256/.342 with one homer, seven RBI and three stolen bases.
  • CWS Left Fielder #23
Andrew Benintendi (calf) is not in the lineup for Monday’s showdown against the Royals.
Benintendi will take a seat for Monday’s series opener after making an early exit from Sunday’s game against the Astros with left calf tightness. It’ll be veteran Michael A. Taylor taking his spot in left field for now.

Michael A. Taylor went 3-for-5 with three doubles, three RBI, two runs scored, and a steal in a 10-3 win over the Athletics on Saturday.
Taylor filled up the stat sheet in Sacramento against the A’s. He drove in a run with a double in the first inning before coming in to score. Leading off the sixth, he doubled, stole third, and scored his second run. Taylor tacked on two more runs with his third double in the seventh. The 34-year-old outfielder is hitting 196/.237/.357 with one homer, eight runs scored, and three steals over 59 plate appearances.
  • CWS Right Fielder #18
White Sox placed Mike Tauchman on the 10-day injured list with a right hamstring strain.
This seemed inevitable after Tauchman pulled his hamstring rounding third base on Wednesday night and couldn’t make it to home plate. The 34-year-old also had a hamstring strain to begin the season, so it may take a few weeks before we see him back on the field for the White Sox. The team called up Joshua Palacios in his place, but Austin Slater and Michael A. Taylor should see more playing time with Tauchman sidelined.

Mike Tauchman (hamstring) is not in the White Sox lineup on Thursday against the Guardians.
Tauchman injured his hamstring rounding third base on the final play of the game on Wednesday night, so he always seemed like a long shot to play today. The White Sox haven’t mentioned whether or not Tauchman will land on the IL, so for now, Brooks Baldwin will play left field, Michael A. Taylor will man center field, and Austin Slater will play right field.
