Phillies acquired LHP McKenzie Mills and international bonus pool money from the Nationals for INF/OF Howie Kendrick.
The 21-year-old southpaw has been outstanding at Class-A Hagerstown this season, posting a 12-2 record, 3.01 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 118/22 K/BB ratio across 104 2/3 innings. It’s not a bad return for Kendrick who was set to become a free agent after this season.
