  • ATL First Baseman #28
Matt Olson went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI against the Phillies on Thursday.
Olson now has 25 home runs on the year. He took Cristopher Sanchez deep for a two-run shot in the third inning and left the yard against Sanchez once again with a solo shot in the sixth inning. Olson has been hot at the plate lately. He’s 20-for-74 (.270) with seven home runs and 22 RBI in his last 19 games. Olson is hitting .234 with a .760 OPS and 76 RBI on the season.

Matt Olson went 1-for-4 with a double, RBI, and run scored on Wednesday against the Twins.
Olson rudely greeted Caleb Thielbar with a 105 MPH double that drove home Marcell Ozuna with what turned out to be the winning run in this pitchers’ duel between Chris Sale and David Festa. The Braves need a hero with nearly their entire opening day lineup gone to injuries and perhaps Olson can be that guy down the stretch.
  • ATL First Baseman #28
Matt Olson drove in five runs while hitting a three-run homer in a 10-6 win over the Twins on Monday.
Olson gave Atlanta a 4-0 lead with a three-run shot off a surprisingly-ineffective Bailey Ober. He doubled home two more runs — one of two doubles he hit on the day — an inning later, again off Ober. The five RBI on the season bring his total to 71, and the homer is the 23rd for the 30-year-old slugger. Olson has been a fantasy disappointment in 2024, but it shouldn’t shock anyone if he finished hot to end the campaign.

Matt Olson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Nationals on Sunday.
Olson took Jacob Barnes deep for his 22nd home run on the season, accounting for his 66th RBI. Those numbers certainly aren’t anywhere close to what fantasy managers were expecting after his stellar 2023 season, but there’s little choice but to keep Olson in your lineups and hope he gets hot down the stretch.

Matt Olson went 1-for-3 with a walk, a run scored, a double and an RBI against the Nationals on Saturday.
Olson tied the game with an RBI double in the sixth inning and came around to score the go-ahead run on an RBI single off the bat of Travis d’Arnaud. Olson hit his 21st home run on August 14th, but since then he’s 4-for-31 (.129) with two doubles and three RBI. He’s hitting .225 with a .724 OPS and 65 RBI on the year. Olson’s production is a far cry from last year when he hit 54 home runs with 139 RBI and was top five in the NL MVP voting.

Matt Olson went 2-for-4 with a home run, three runs scored, and a walk against the Giants on Wednesday.
Olson drew a walk in the first inning and scored on a grand slam by Michael Harris II. He extended the Atlanta lead with a solo homer off Sean Hjelle to lead off the third. Olson added a base hit in the ninth and scored on a single by Ramón Laureano. The 30-year-old first baseman is hitting .232/.311/.431 with 21 homers and 62 RBI across 505 plate appearances.

Matt Olson launched two homers, including a grand slam, and tallied six RBI on Saturday, powering the Braves to an 11-8 victory over the Rockies.
Olson took full advantage of Coors Field’s high-octane offensive environment to register his second multi-homer performance of the season, accomplishing the feat for the second time since July 31. The 30-year-old fantasy stalwart’s rough couple months to open the year are quickly becoming an afterthought since he’s hitting .231 (18-for-78) with seven homers and 16 RBI in 21 games since last month’s All-Star break.

Matt Olson went 2-for-4 with two doubles in Tuesday’s loss to the Brewers.
Olson was responsible for two of the Braves’ six hits on the night, with both of his hits coming in the form of doubles. His extra-base hits didn’t amount to much for the Braves, however, as they were blanked 10-0 by Colin Rea and the Brewers’ bullpen and have now been shut out in back-to-back nights. Olson and the Braves will look to end their scoreless drought and three-game losing streak on Wednesday when they face Brewers starter Freddy Peralta.

Matt Olson went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run against the Marlins on Thursday.
The home run was Olson’s 18th of the season. He hit a two-run shot off Max Meyer in the first inning. It was his fifth home run in his last six games. While the power has come around recently, his average has taken a tumble. Olson is 24-for-143 (.167) in his last 38 games. Ouch. Olson is hitting .226 with a .722 OPS and 52 RBI on the year.

Matt Olson clobbered a pair of solo home runs on Wednesday, powering the Braves to a 6-2 victory over the Brewers.
Olson took Brewers starter Freddy Peralta deep in the fourth inning before walloping a 416-foot moonshot off reliever Nick Mears in the eighth inning to record his first multi-homer performance of the season. It’s been a disappointing offensive campaign for Olson, relative to fantasy manager’s lofty expectations coming off last year’s 54-homer explosion, as he’s gone deep just 17 times through 107 contests. Despite his prolonged struggles, it wouldn’t be shocking at all to see him get hot and go on a power surge to close out the year.
