Yankees purchased the contract of RHP Matt Daley from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Daley, a 31-year-old right-hander, is back in the big leagues for the first time since the 2011 season when he was with the Rockies. He pitched exceptionally well at the Triple-A level, posting a 2.54 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 53/6 K/BB ratio over 39 innings. He’ll likely work in a middle relief role for the Yankees.
