    Rangers non-tendered RHP Matt Bush.
The 37-year-old hurler didn’t wind up appearing in a game with the Rangers during the 2023 season. He posted a 9.58 ERA, 1.65 WHIP and a 10/6 K/BB ratio over 10 1/3 innings with the Brewers before ultimately getting released and picked up by the Rangers in July. Don’t be surprised to see him re-sign with the Rangers on a minor league pact.
  • TEX Starting Pitcher #22
Jon Gray was added to the Rangers’ roster for the ALCS, which begins Sunday in Houston.
Gray landed on the injured list at the end of the regular season with forearm irritation but has been rehabbing in an effort to return to the Rangers roster for this exciting series against their AL West rivals, the Houston Astros. Gray threw live batting practice on Saturday but will be used out of the Rangers bullpen for the possible seven-game series. With Gray and Max Scherzer added to the roster, Brock Burke and Matt Bush were removed to make room for the veteran right-handers.

Rangers selected the contract of RHP Matt Bush from Triple-A Round Rock.
The 37-year-old right-hander rejoined the Rangers on a minor league real back in July and will now get another chance to work out of their bullpen at the most critical time of the year. On the season, Bush holds a 9.58 ERA, 1.65 WHIP and a 10/6 K/BB ratio over 10 1/3 innings at the big league level.

Rangers signed RHP Matt Bush to a minor league contract.
The 37-year-old Bush was released by the Brewers last week after giving up 11 runs in 10 1/3 innings this season. He was great for Texas last year before being shipped to Milwaukee at the deadline, and if he pitches well in his first few innings in the minors, the Rangers will likely give him another shot.
  • MLB Relief Pitcher #21
    Brewers released RHP Matt Bush.
Bush had been designated for assignment earlier in the week, and after passing through waivers unclaimed it looks like the two sides will part ways. The 37-year-old hurler registered a cringe-inducing 9.58 ERA, 1.65 WHIP and a 10/6 K/BB ratio over 10 1/3 innings. He should be able to latch no elsewhere on a minor league deal if he has dreams of continuing his playing career.
  • MIL Relief Pitcher #21
Brewers designated RHP Matt Bush for assignment.
Bush has been removed from Milwaukee’s 40-man roster after struggling to a calamitous 9.58 ERA, 1.65 WHIP and 10/6 K/BB ratio across 10 1/3 innings (12 appearances) this season. The 37-year-old righty is unlikely to attract much interest on waivers.

Matt Bush was charged with a blown save and a loss after giving up three runs Friday against the Pirates.
Four of the Brewers’ seven relievers had worked back-to-back days, so the save chance fell to Bush tonight in just his second appearance back from the IL. It did not go well. Bush allowed three hits, the last of which was a three-run homer. His ERA sits at 9.58, and he might find himself released if he doesn’t get better in a hurry.
  • FA Relief Pitcher #49
Brewers activated RHP Matt Bush from the 15-day injured list.
Bush, out since late April with right shoulder tendinitis, allowed just an unearned run with eight strikeouts over 7 2/3 innings during a rehab assignment in Triple-A. The 37-year-old scuffled prior to going on the IL, but could find himself in the late-inning mix before long.

Matt Bush (shoulder) tossed a scoreless inning on Thursday in a minor league rehab appearance for Triple-A Nashville.
Bush needed just 17 pitches (11 strikes) to spin a scoreless frame as he continues progressing towards a return to Milwaukee’s relief mix. He’s been out since late April due to right shoulder tendinitis.

  • FA Relief Pitcher #49
Matt Bush (shoulder) is expected to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday.
Bush has been on the shelf since late April with right rotator cuff tendinitis, and the injury could have been why he had an 8.22 ERA before landing on the injured list. He will likely need a few appearances before returning to the Brewers bullpen.
