Angels re-signed RHP Luis Ledo to a minor league contract.
Ledo struggled to an inflated 5.66 ERA, 1.74 WHIP and 62/53 K/BB ratio across 76 1/3 innings (24 appearances, 16 starts) this past season for Triple-A Salt Lake. The 28-year-old righty is merely extra organizational pitching depth at this juncture.

Angels optioned RHP Elvis Peguero, LHP Jhonathan Diaz and 3B Brendon Davis to Triple-A Salt Lake; reassigned RHP Daniel Ponce de Leon, INF Kean Wong, RHP’s Davis Daniel and Luis Ledo, SS Jacob Gatewood and OF Dillon Thomas to minor league camp.
No real surprises among the first round of cuts from Angels’ big-league camp. Perhaps the most notable inclusion is Ponce de Leon, who was vying for a spot in Los Angeles’s Opening Day rotation.

  • FA Starting Pitcher
Angels signed RHP Luis Ledo to a minor league contract.
Ledo recorded a serviceable 4.17 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 52/20 K/BB ratio across 34 relief appearances at Double-A Birmingham in the White Sox’ minor-league system last season. The 26-year-old righty, who checks in at a massive 6-foot-4, 240 pounds, will serve as organizational relief depth for the Angels moving forward.
