Rockies placed LHP Lucas Gilbreath on the 15-day injured list with left shoulder inflammation.
Gilbreath just returned from Tommy John surgery 10 days ago. He had since made three appearances in which he gave up six runs and totaled three outs. It’s been quite a struggle for a lefty who was one of the Rockies’ best relievers as a rookie in 2021 and again until getting hurt in 2022.

Rockies activated LHP Lucas Gilbreath from the 60-day injured list.
Gilbreath is ready to make his 2024 debut after a lengthy recovery from Tommy John surgery. The 28-year-old southpaw registered an 8.00 ERA, 1.78 WHIP and a 12/8 K/BB ratio over nine innings of work. Expect manager Bud Black to ease him back into action in low leverage situations.

Rockies transferred LHP Lucas Gilbreath to the 60-day injured list with a left elbow injury.
Gilbreath was placed on the injured list prior to the regular season and will need more time to get back to full strength. He could return at some point during the middle of the season, but as of now, it doesn’t look like the Rockies are rushing him back anytime soon.

Rockies placed LHP Lucas Gilbreath on the 15-day injured list with a left elbow injury.
Gilbreath underwent Tommy John surgery last March and is still working his way through the rehab process. He could return at some point during the first half.

Rockies and LHP Lucas Gilbreath avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year contract.
No word yet on the financial details of this one. The 27-year-old southpaw missed the entire 2023 campaign after undergoing Tommy John surgery in March. Barring any setbacks, he’s expected to be ready to return at some point around midseason in 2024.

Rockies placed LHP Lucas Gilbreath on the 60-day injured list with a left elbow injury.
Gilbreath underwent Tommy John surgery last week and will miss the entire 2023 season while recovering. Making this move now though freed up a spot on the club’s 40-man roster for Jurickson Profar, Gilbreath should be back at some point around midseason in 2024.

Rockies left-hander Lucas Gilbreath underwent successful Tommy John reconstructive elbow surgery on Tuesday.
This was always the expected outcome for Gilbreath, so it’s good to hear that he got it done quickly and can go ahead and start the recovery process. The 26-year-old southpaw will miss the entire 2023 season and the start of the 2024 campaign as well as he recovers from the procedure.

Rockies left-hander Lucas Gilbreath announced Tuesday that he will undergo Tommy John reconstructive elbow surgery next week.
The Rockies had been seeking a second opinion just to be sure, but that was the expectation all along. He’ll miss the entire 2023 season and perhaps the start of the 2024 campaign as well while recovering from the procedure. Knowing that Gilbreath wasn’t likely to contribute to their bullpen this season is perhaps why they inked left-hander Brad Hand to a one-year, $3 million contract last week.

Lucas Gilbreath (elbow) will likely require Tommy John surgery.
Gilbreath finished last season on the injured list after receiving a platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injection in his elbow, but apparently he’s still having issues. The Rockies are still looking into their options, but if Gilbreath does indeed need Tommy John surgery, he’ll miss all of this season and will likely get a late start on 2024 as well. Gilbreath turns 27 this week and posted a 4.19 ERA over 47 relief appearances with the Rockies last year.

Lucas Gilbreath (elbow) will miss the remainder of the season.
Gilbreath should be ready in plenty of time for spring training, but he’s finished for the remainder of the 2022 campaign after receiving a platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injection in his left elbow. The 26-year-old lefty was placed on the injured list back in late August with a left elbow flex strain.
