Yankees declined RHP Lou Trivino’s $5 million club option for 2025.
Trivino hasn’t pitched in the big leagues since the 2022 ALCS due to an elbow strain and subsequent Tommy John surgery. He threw a total of 11 innings in the minor leagues during the 2024 campaign before being shut down in September with a sore shoulder. The 33-year-old hurler is now free to peddle his wares on the open market.

Although he gave up three hits and walked two, Lou Trivino pitched 1 2/3 scoreless innings in relief for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Saturday.
It’s Trivino’s first scoreless appearance in four tries since he was moved up to Triple-A on his rehab assignment. His velocity is down about two mph after Tommy John, and it doesn’t seem very likely that he’ll help the Yankees this month.

Lou Trivino (elbow) will begin a minor league rehab assignment at Double-A Somerset on Wednesday.
The 32-year-old hurler has been shelved since the middle of May when his recovery from Tommy John surgery took a detour due to renewed inflammation in his pitching elbow. It sounds like he’s back on track though and if all goes well he may only be a week or two away from helping out in the Yankees’ bullpen.

Lou Trivino has been shut down from throwing with right elbow inflammation.
Hoch had imaging done with Dr. Neal ElAttrache. He’s currently in the second week of three-to-four weeks of no-throwing. Trivino is currently on the 60-day injured list, and it’s going to be a while before he’s able to contribute to the New York bullpen.

Yankees placed RHP Lou Trivino on the 60-day injured list.
Trivino re-signed with the Yankees earlier this week on a one-year contract as he continues to work his way back from last year’s Tommy John surgery. The 32-year-old veteran reliever should be ready to return sometime in the second half of the season.

Yankees signed RHP Lou Trivino to a one-year, $1.25 million contract.
The deal also includes a $5 million club option for the 2025 season. The 32-year-old right-hander isn’t expected to be ready to contribute until around mid-season, as he’s still working his way back from Tommy John surgery. Trivino is already in Yankees’ camp and will continue rehabbing and working out there.

Andy Martino of SNY reports that the Yankees have reached an agreement to bring back free agent right-hander Lou Trivino.
Trivino, 32, underwent Tommy John surgery in May and isn’t expected to be ready to return until mid-season. It’s unclear if it will be a major league deal, or a minor league deal. The benefit of adding him to the 40-man roster, would be that they could then stash him on the 60-day injured list and free that spot back up. The deal is still pending a physical and should be finalized within the next couple of days.

    Yankees non-tendered RHP Lou Trivino.
Trivino had Tommy John surgery in May and figures to miss at least the first two months of next season. The former A’s closer had a 1.66 ERA in 25 appearances after being acquired along with Frankie Montas in 2022. However, since that time as a closer drove up his salary and he would have made at least $4 million in arbitration, the Yankees decided to let him go.

The Yankees announced that right-hander Lou Trivino will undergo Tommy John reconstructive elbow surgery on Wednesday.
Trivino had been shut down since early March due to a right elbow strain, and was then shelved as he attempted to come back due to renewed discomfort. He’ll now miss the entire 2023 season -- and likely the first few months of the 2024 campaign -- while recovering from the procedure.

Yankees transferred RHP Lou Trivino from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day injured list.
Trivino has been sidelined since early March due to a right elbow sprain and was shut down last week due to renewed discomfort. He’s sought multiple medical evaluations and appears to be facing an extended absence.
