Logan Allen, who spent part of last season in Arizona’s bullpen, has signed with the NC Dinos of Korea.
This is not the Logan Allen who has started games for the Guardians the last two years, though this Logan Allen did pitch for the Guardians from 2019-22. He heads to Korea with a 5-11 record and a 5.79 ERA in 124 1/3 innings over five major league seasons.
  • ARI Relief Pitcher #22
Diamondbacks sent LHP Logan Allen outright to Triple-A Reno.
Allen will remain with Arizona as extra relief depth after passing through waivers unclaimed. The 27-year-old lefty has compiled a serviceable 5.46 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 21/10 K/BB ratio across 28 innings (12 appearances) this season in the majors.
  • ARI Relief Pitcher #22
Diamondbacks designated LHP Logan Allen for assignment.
Allen gets removed from the active and 40-man roster after giving up six runs in just an inning of work during Saturday’s blowout loss to the Padres. If he goes unclaimed he can report back to Triple-A Reno or elect free agency. Tommy Henry was brought up from Reno to take Allen’s place on the roster.
  • ARI Relief Pitcher #22
Logan Allen allowed one run over 4 2/3 innings on Thursday in relief against the Giants.
Allen saved Arizona’s bullpen with nearly five frames at Oracle Park following starter Ryne Nelson’s early exit from the contest after just two frames due to a right elbow contusion. He struck out three and only issued one walk. It was his first appearance in the majors since May 15, 2022.
  • SD Starting Pitcher #11
Diamondbacks selected the contract of LHP Logan Allen from Triple-A Reno.
Allen will join the D-backs 40-man roster and could step in to be a long relief pitcher. The 26-eyar-old has a 3.00 ERA in 12 innings pitched at the Triple-A level. He joined Arizona this offseason when he signed a minor league deal and would make his first major league appearance since 2022 when he was with the Orioles.
  • ARI Relief Pitcher #28
Diamondbacks reassigned LHP Logan Allen, RHPs Josh Green, Ricky Karcher, and Humberto Castellanos, INF Andrés Chaparro, and OF Albert Almora Jr. to minor league camp.
Of course, this Logan Allen is not to be confused with the Gaurdians’ pitcher Logan Allen. This Allen joined the D-Backs on a minor league deal this offseason. He pitched fine this spring (3.12 ERA, 7 Ks in 8 2/3 innings) and could potentially make for nice depth in Triple-A.
  • ARI Relief Pitcher #28
Logan Allen pitched well in Saturday’s Cactus League start against the Angels, piling up three strikeouts over two scoreless innings.
The 26-year-old southpaw walked one batter and didn’t allow a hit in the ballgame. Allen punched out Aaron Hicks and Mike Trout in the first inning, then got Brandon Drury looking in the second inning. After a strong showing in the Dominican Winter League, there’s a chance that Allen could squeeze his way onto the D’Backs’ Opening Day roster in a swingman role if he continues to pitch well in Cactus League action.
  • ARI Relief Pitcher #28
Diamondbacks signed LHP Logan Allen to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Allen put together a strong performance in the Dominican Winter League this offseason and will be in camp this spring with the Diamondbacks fighting for a spot on their season-opening roster. The 26-year-old former top prospect didn’t appear in the majors this past season, but has made 33 appearances (15 starts) in the big leagues since 2019. At a bare minimum, he’ll bolster Arizona’s starting pitching depth heading into 2024.
  • FA Relief Pitcher #28
Free agent LHP Logan Allen is excelling in the Dominican Winter League as he hopes to latch on with an MLB team.
Logan Allen, not the Guardians pitcher, has reportedly been adapting his pitch mix to include more cutters to right-handed hitters than he has previously thrown. It’s working, with the veteran pitching to a 2.41 ERA and 19 strikeouts in four starts. Allen last pitched in a Major League game on May 5th, 2022, with the Orioles. He signed a minor league contract with the Mariners for the second half of the 2023 season, but is currently a free agent.
  • SEA Starting Pitcher #28
Mariners signed LHP Logan Allen to a minor league contract.
The 26-year-old southpaw was released by the Rockies earlier in the week after posting a cringe-inducing 7.20 ERA, 2.09 WHIP and a 50/28 K/BB ratio over 45 innings at Triple-A Albuquerque this season.
