Orioles sent RHP Levi Stoudt outright to Double-A Bowie.
Stoudt, who pitched briefly in the majors for the Reds last year, was a waiver claim from the Mariners in June. The Orioles have tried turning him into a reliever, but the early results weren’t strong enough to keep him on the 40-man or get him claimed by another team.
  • BAL Starting Pitcher #26
Orioles designated RHP Levi Stoudt for assignment.
Baltimore claimed Stoudt off waivers in June, but he never appeared in the major leagues with the club. After acquiring RHP Seranthony Dominguez and OF Christian Pache from the Phillies for OF Austin Hays, the Orioles needed to open up a spot on the 40-man roster. Baltimore will have seven days to trade Stoudt or place him on waivers.

Orioles claimed RHP Levi Stoudt off waivers from the Mariners and optioned him to Triple-A Norfolk.
This one probably won’t pay off for the Orioles, but since they could easily open up the 40-man spot, there’s no harm in taking a look. Stoudt, 26, had spent the entire year at Triple-A Tacoma after being claimed off waivers from the Reds in February and went 3-4 with a 6.92 ERA and a 36/30 K/BB in 52 innings. He made his major league debut with Cincinnati last season, posting a 9.58 ERA in 10 1/3 innings then.
  • SEA Starting Pitcher #26
Mariners designated RHP Levi Stoudt for assignment.
The Mariners need 40-man room to add Matt Bowman and Tyler Locklear to the roster, so Stoudt is one of the casualties. Because he has been designated for assignment twice, he can elect free agency if he goes unclaimed.
  • SEA Starting Pitcher #58
Mariners claimed RHP Levi Stoudt off waivers from the Reds.
Stoudt returns to Seattle just a few years after being shipped to Cincinnati as part of the Luis Castillo trade back in 2022. The 26-year-old righty made four appearances (two starts) last year for the Reds in his first exposure to the big leagues.
  • CIN Starting Pitcher #58
Reds designated RHP Levi Stoudt for assignment.
Stoudt appeared in four games and made two starts for the Reds last season. In those four games, he struggled with his command and posted a 9.58 ERA, 2.32 WHIP and a 9/8 K/BB ratio across 10 1/3 innings. The 25-year-old righty hopes another club gives him a chance this spring, but Stoudt still needs to refine his game to find success in the majors.
  • CIN Starting Pitcher #58
Reds optioned RHP Levi Stoudt to Triple-A Louisville.
The 25-year-old hurler has really struggled in four appearances with the Reds this season — posting a 9.58 ERA, 2.32 WHIP and a 9/8 K/BB ratio across 10 1/3 innings. He’ll continue to refine his craft at Triple-A Louisville for the time being.
  • CIN Starting Pitcher #58
Reds recalled RHP Levi Stoudt from Triple-A Louisville.
Stoudt provides the Reds with a versatile relief option capable of soaking up multiple innings in long relief. The 25-year-old righty has made three appearances (two starts) this season in the majors.
  • CIN Starting Pitcher #58
Reds optioned RHP Levi Stoudt to Triple-A Louisville.
Stoudt gave up three runs over three innings on Sunday in a spot start against the Braves. The 25-year-old righty holds a bloated 9.90 ERA, 2.20 WHIP and 8/7 K/BB ratio across 10 innings (three appearances, two starts) this season in the majors.
  • CIN Starting Pitcher #58
Levi Stoudt gave up three runs in three innings against the Braves in his start Sunday.
The Reds couldn’t have expected anything more than this, given that Stoudt had given up four runs over 3 2/3 innings in two Triple-A starts since coming off the IL. It’s unclear if he’ll be kept on the roster or if he’ll go back to Triple-A.
