Cubs acquired RHP Lars Huijer from the Mariners for LHP Mike Kickham.
Huijer, 21, owns a 4.48 ERA over five seasons in the minors. The Dutch right-hander had a rough 5.08 ERA with a 76/61 K/BB ratio over 124 innings between Class A Clinton and High-A High Desert last season. He’s not considered a top prospect, will provide some starting depth in Chicago’s system.
