    Nationals sent RHP Jordan Weems outright to Triple-A Rochester.

Weems holds a 6.70 ERA, 1.75 WHIP and a 35/24 K/BB ratio over 41 2/3 innings in 41 appearances at the big-league level this season.

    Weems walked a pair of batters but came out of the tenth inning with the game still tied. The Nationals would add two runs in the top of the 11th before he returned to pitch the bottom of the frame. Weems struck out two to end it, earning the win and securing the victory for Washington.
