Jonatan Clase went 3-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored, two RBI, and a walk on Wednesday against the Red Sox.
The Blue Jays called Clase up for the first time last week after acquiring him from the Mariners at the trade deadline and this was his second multi-hit game in five contests. It was nice to see him smack his first home run too as power has always been the weak point in his profile.

Blue Jays recalled OF Jonatan Clase from Triple-A Buffalo.
Clase will take the spot of Bo Bichette, who landed back on the IL with a fractured finger. The 22-year-old speedster could see starts in center field with Daulton Varsho also hurt and his speed would be a major factor in fantasy leagues, so this is a situation to monitor.

Blue Jays acquired OF Jonatan Clase and C Jacob Sharp from the Mariners for RHP Yimi Garcia.
Clase, 22, has struggled mightily in his chances with the Mariners this season — hitting just .195/.233/.220 with no homers, three stolen bases and a 14/2 K/BB ratio over 43 plate appearances. He’s an extremely talented five-tool type of prospect though who was hitting .274/.373/.483 with 10 long balls, 34 RBI and 26 swipes in 59 games at Triple-A Tacoma. It’s unclear if the Jays plan to bring him up right away or will let him get settled in at Triple-A Buffalo first.

Jeff Passan of ESPN reports that the Mariners have agreed to a deal for Blue Jays’ right-hander Yimi Garcia.
Passan also notes that outfield prospect Jonatan Clase will head to the Blue Jays as part of the return package. The Blue Jays were obvious sellers, so it’s not surprising to see Garcia get dealt as he was one of the top bullpen arms thought to be available before the trade deadline. He’ll strengthen the Mariners’ already terrific setup corps in front of closer Andres Munoz.

Mariners recalled OF Jonatan Clase from Triple-A Tacoma.
He’s back. Clase was optioned to the minors following Monday’s game against the Angels and has been brought back ahead of Tuesday’s contest with Julio Rodríguez landing on the injured list with a high ankle sprain.

Mariners recalled OF Jonatan Clase from Triple-A Tacoma.
Clase will begin a third stint with the Mariners after going 6-for-34 with a 13/1 K/BB and one extra-base hit in the first two. This could be a short stint, but for now, he’ll probably play some versus righties and occasionally come off the bench for defense.
  • SEA Center Fielder #5
Mariners optioned OF Jonatan Clase to Triple-A Tacoma.
The 22-year-old continues to struggle in his chances with the big league club — hitting just .176/.200/.206 with no homers, three RBI, two swipes and a 13/1 K/BB ratio in 35 plate appearances with the Mariners. He’ll return to an everyday role at Triple-A Tacoma for the time being.
  • SEA Center Fielder #20
Luke Raley is not in the lineup for Sunday’s finale against the Nationals.
Raley will get the day off against southpaw Patrick Corbin. Jonatan Clase will start in left field and hit ninth while Raley gets a break.
  • SEA Center Fielder #5
Mariners recalled OF Jonatan Clase from Triple-A Tacoma.
Clase hit .222 with no home runs and two seals in 27 at-bats for the Mariners earlier this season. There’s still not a path to consistent playing time for Clase so he’s best left on the waiver wire, but he could be a good source of speed at some point in the future.

Jonatan Clase has joined the Mariners on their taxi squad.
Clase was sent down at the end of April, but the 21-year-old could be back with the team three weeks later. There’s no guarantee of consistent playing time, so Clase doesn’t make sense as a roster add in redraft leagues at this point if/when he joins Seattle.
