Marlins acquired OF John Cruz from the Yankees as part of a three-team trade.
Cruz was considered a top-30 prospect in New York’s system despite not yet advancing to full-season ball. The 18-year-old outfielder advanced to the Florida Complex League last year, posting a strong .907 OPS with 10 homers and nine steal in 202 plate appearances. He’s a phenomenal long-term lottery ticket for Miami.
