Red Sox sent LHP Joely Rodríguez outright to Triple-A Worcester.
Rodríguez has declared free agency. He had a 5.93 ERA in 14 relief appearances for Boston this season.

Red Sox recalled RHP Brad Keller from Triple-A Worcester.
The Red Sox waived Keller back at the beginning of August and was re-signed to a minor league contract. He’s now getting another chance with the big club given how many games the Red Sox have to play this week. It’s unclear how long Keller will remain in the Red Sox bullpen. Joely Rodriguez was designated for assignment to make room.

Red Sox designated LHP Joel Rodriguez for assignment.
The Red Sox curiously started the season with Rodriguez as their only left-handed reliever while sending Brennan Bernardino to the minors. Rodriguez was then waived in May, made it through waivers, and was sent back to Triple-A, so this is now the second time the Red Sox have designated him for assignment this season. He has a 5.93 ERA in 13 2/3 innings this season and figures to go unclaimed on waivers again. Brad Keller was called up in a corresponding move.

Red Sox selected the contract of LHP Joely Rodriguez from Triple-A Worcester.
Boston designated Rodriguez for assignment earlier this year, but he made it through waivers unclaimed and they kept him in the minors as depth. He had a 6.55 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 11 strikeouts in 11 innings with the Red Sox this year.

Red Sox sent LHP Joely Rodriguez outright to Triple-A Worcester.
Rodriguez slipped through waivers unclaimed and will continue to function as bullpen depth for the Red Sox in the upper minors. He’ll get another chance at some point during the 2024 season.

Red Sox designated LHP Joely Rodriguez for assignment.
Rodriguez is removed from both the active and 40-man roster to make room for Naoyuki Uwasawa. The left-hander did not pitch well in his 11 appearances for Boston with a 6.55 ERA and 1.55 WHIP over 11 frames. If he goes unclaimed, Rodriguez will have the option to either report to Triple-A Worcester or elect free agency.

Red Sox selected the contract of LHP Joely Rodríguez.
The 32-year-old veteran only pitched 11 innings last season due to a hip injury. The Red declined his option last season which made him re-sign with the team but on a minor league deal. He’ll provide depth for Boston’s bullpen this season, but isn’t someone fantasy managers should go after.

Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports that Joely Rodriguez has made the Red Sox Opening Day roster.
Rodriguez signed a minor league deal in late February after Boston declined his $4.25 million option at the end of last season. The lefty was limited to just 11 innings last season due to a hip injury and will likely pitch in low to medium-level leverage situations for the Red Sox this season.

Red Sox re-signed LHP Joely Rodríguez to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
The 32-year-old was with the Red Sox in 2023 but was limited to just 11 innings due to injury. The team then declined its $4.25 million option at the end of the year but will bring him back on a minor league contract instead. He has a career 4.70 ERA in 157 MLB innings, so he will likely just provide competition during spring training. He has already arrived with the team and will begin working out as early as Thursday.

Red Sox declined their $4.25 million club option on LHP Joely Rodriguez for the 2024 season.
The 31-year-old southpaw was limited to only 11 innings during the 2023 campaign due to a wide array of injuries. He should be able to find himself a home on the free agent market with little difficulty.
