Giants signed RHP Joel Peguero to a minor league contract.
The 27-year-old hurler spent the 2024 campaign in the Tigers’ organization where he registered a 3.14 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and a 56/17 K/BB ratio across 51 2/3 innings in 43 appearances at Double-A Erie. He’ll function as extra bullpen depth for the Giants in the upper minors.

Nationals signed RHP Joel Peguero to a minor league contract.
Peguero was traded to the Rockies from the Rays last August and reached minor league free agency this offseason. The 25-year-old righty heads to the Nationals as extra organizational relief depth after compiling a pedestrian 4.76 ERA, 1.69 WHIP and 52/35 K/BB ratio across 56 2/3 innings (50 appearances, four starts) last season at the Triple-A level.

Rockies acquired RHP Joel Peguero from the Rays for cash considerations.
It’s a rare post-trade deadline deal. Peguero has compiled an underwhelming 4.58 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 33/24 K/BB ratio across 39 1/3 innings (32 appearances) this season for Triple-A Durham. The 25-year-old righty will give the Rockies some extra organizational relief depth.
