Dunand will continue to develop in the minor league system to start the 2024 season. Last season, he splayed 95 games at Triple-A Gwinnett in the Braves’ organization and the 28-year-old slashed .268/.362/.481 with 52 RBI in 403 plate appearances. He’ll serve as infielder depth for Boston this upcoming season.

Dunand is perhaps most famous for being the nephew of Alex Rodriguez, but he’s a talented player in his own right as a former second-round pick. Last season, as a member of the Braves organization, the 28-year-old slashed .268/.362/.481 with 17 HR over 403 PA in 2023 for Triple-A Gwinnett. He can play most positions around the infield and figures to serve as organizational depth for the Red Sox.

Dunand cleared waivers after he was designated for assignment. He’ll remain in the Braves organization and serve as organizational depth after he was outrighted to Triple-A Gwinnett.

The Braves had just claimed Dunand off waivers earlier this month but now they’ve jettisoned him for another waiver claim, Mike Ford. The 26-year-old went 3-for-10 with a homer for the Marlins earlier this season.

Dunand was designated for assignment by Miami this past Sunday. The 26-year-old former second-round pick holds a career .236/.309/.367 minor league batting line with 30 home runs and six stolen bases in 354 games. He made his MLB debut with the Fish last month.

The Marlins have waived Dunand after the infielder was optioned to Triple-A earlier this week. The move opens up a spot on the 40-man roster for Avisail Garica’s return from the COVID-19 injured list.

Dunand heads down to make room for Joey Wendle, who comes off the injured list on Thursday. The 26-year-old will likely be back as a bench option at some point this summer, but won’t be worth a fantasy roster addition.

It’s not what you want to see, folks. Chisholm Jr. was removed from Sunday’s contest against the Braves due to left hamstring tightness. It’s unclear how much longer he’ll remain sidelined. The electrifying 24-year-old infielder has seven homers and six steals in 139 plate appearances this season. Rookie slugger Joe Dunand takes over at the keystone Tuesday evening in his absence.

Dunand gives the Marlins some infield depth. The 26-year-old infielder homered and doubled in his one start with the team earlier this month. Daniel Castano was optioned to make space on the active roster.

Dunand played just one game during his brief first stint in the majors, but he made the most of it with a double and a homer. He’ll hope to earn another trip back later this season.
