Jimmy Gobble will be recalled from Triple-A Omaha in time to start Sunday’s game against Seattle.
He has pitched well in Class AAA since his demotion (3-1 in four starts). Gobble’s velocity has also improved. Wait until he pitches a solid game or two at the major-league level before making him a part of your fantasy rotation.

GM Allard Baird spoke against speculation that Jimmy Gobble’s struggles and consequent demotion to Triple-A are injury related.
''Not true,’' Baird said. ''Jimmy Gobble is putting a lot of pressure on himself, physical pressure, when he takes the mound. We want him to... deal more with his emotions on the mound than any physical adjustments. I don’t expect him to be down there very long.’'

Jimmy Gobble pitched four innings and allowed on run Wednesday in his spot start against the Tigers.
Gobble showed enough while filling in for Mark Redman (forearm) that he might be a candidate for a permanent spot soon. It’s uncertain what chance there is of Redman returning to make his next start, and Jeremy Affeldt is also a candidate to be replaced.

Jimmy Gobble picked up a win over the Twins after allowing two runs in five innings on Tuesday night.
The runs scored on Lew Ford’s homer. Gobble gave up four more hits and three walks, but the Twins couldn’t push any additional runs across and their winning streak ended at 11 games. Gobble, who was making his first start since replacing Bobby Keppel in the rotation, doesn’t have any value in AL-only leagues.
