Phillies agreed to terms with RHP Jhoan Duran on a one-year, $7.5 million contract.
Duran gets a $3.375 million bump after finishing with a 2.06 ERA and racking up 32 saves for the Twins and Phillies last season. One of the game’s best closers, he’ll again be eligible for arbitration in 2027 before he’s due to become a free agent.

Phillies signed RHP Brad Keller to a two-year, $22 million contract.
The deal is now official. Keller’s metamorphosis into an elite high-leverage reliever with the Cubs last season was fueled by a massive velocity uptick, which led to a sparkling 2.07 ERA — 2.93 FIP — 0.96 WHIP and 75/22 K/BB ratio across 69 2/3 innings. The 30-year-old journeyman fortifies Philadelphia’s setup mix leading to upper-echelon closer Jhoan Duran. He’s one of the few non-closing relief arms worthy of a roster spot in deeper mixed leagues.

Jhoan Duran took a blown save but wound up with a win after giving up a solo homer in the ninth Monday against the Dodgers.
Duran’s fourth blown save extended things tonight, but the Phillies were able to score a run in the top of the 10th, after which David Robertson pitched a scoreless inning for his first save of the year. Duran now has seven wins, two of which have followed blown saves.

Jhoan Duran slammed the door on the Mets in the ninth inning on Thursday night, striking out each of the three batters that he faced to protect a two-run lead.
Duran came out firing in this one, slicing right through the heart of the Mets’ lineup. He punched out Juan Soto, Pete Alonso and Mark Vientos in succession — each on swinging third strikes — needing just 11 pitches to get the job done. Since joining the Phillies, Duran holds a 1.23 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and a 20/0 K/BB ratio over 14 2/3 innings while making good on 13 of his first 14 save chances.

Jhoan Duran turned in a scoreless ninth for his 28th save Monday against the Mets.
Duran gave a leadoff single to Pete Alonso, and the Mets made the move to pinch-run for Alonso in the 1-0 game. Mark Vientos went on to double with one out, but Ronny Mauricio read it very poorly off the bat, costing him a chance to score. Duran then struck out Jeff McNeil and Francisco Alvarez to end the game. It probably ought to have been a blown save for Duran, but he improved to 12-for-13 with the Phillies and 28-for-31 overall.
