    Jeff Nelson (strained right elbow) will begin a rehab assignment at Double-A Frisco today.
    He will have to make back-to-back appearances before Rangers’ manager Buck Showalter feels comfortable activating Nelson. That will likely make Nelson’s return date some time next week.

    The players will perform 50 hours of community service and be evaluated to determine whether they need to attend an anger management program. If they have no problems over the next six months, the charges will be dropped.
