Detroit Tigers named Jeff Greenberg as General Manager.
Although Jeff Greenberg is currently an associate GM with the Chicago Blackhawks in the NHL, he worked with current Tigers president of baseball operations Scott Harris when both were with the Chicago Cubs. While with the Cubs, Greenberg played a key role in creating the systems and strategies that helped the Cubs scout and develop talent. He held roles as Director of Pro Scouting and Baseball Operations, Director of Baseball Operations, Assistant to the General Manager, and served as Assistant General Manager in his final three seasons. Greenberg will be the 20th General Manager in the 123-year history of the Tigers.
