  • COL Relief Pitcher #68
Jalen Beeks picked up a save after throwing a scoreless inning against the Royals on Friday.
Beeks gave up a couple of hits, but the 30-year-old veteran was able to work around those runners to pick up his eighth save. He should continue to see the overwhelming majority of save chances in Colorado as long as he’s on the roster, but there’s obviously better fantasy options out there.

Jalen Beeks threw 1 1/3 scoreless innings and picked up the save against the Brewers on Thursday.
It was Beeks’ seventh save of the year. He had blown his last three save opportunities. Beeks’ save was his first save since May 31st. He has a 4.19 ERA on the season. He has five wins and seven saves on the season, but isn’t the most reliable late inning arm in fantasy.

Jalen Beeks fired 1 1/3 scoreless innings on Saturday to record a win in relief against the Nationals.
Beeks came on to record the final out of the eighth inning with the Rockies trailing by two runs at the time before coming out to spin a flawless ninth inning as well. Colorado’s lineup responded with a pair of runs in the bottom of the frame to give the veteran southpaw his fourth victory of the season. The 30-year-old lefty has excelled this year in his Rockies debut with six saves to accompany a serviceable 3.38 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 29/16 K/BB ratio across 37 1/3 innings (33 appearances).

Tyler Kinley picked up the save against the Cardinals on Thursday.
The save was Kinley’s third of the season. This was a brutal beat for Jalen Beeks managers. Beeks blew the save Wednesday night, but was able to get through the eighth inning and record the first two outs of the ninth inning before Kinley came in and got the save. The Rockies closer situation isn’t for the weak-hearted with Beeks, Kinley and Justin Lawrence all in the mix.

Jalen Beeks was charged with five runs in the ninth inning on Wednesday in a blown save against the Reds.
Beeks was called upon to protect a narrow one-run lead on Wednesday afternoon at Coors Field and wound up recording a pair of outs before serving up a go-ahead two-run homer to Spencer Steer. He was lifted from the contest after loading the bases and was charged with all three additional runs when rookie Angel Chivilli coughed up a grand slam to Jonathan India. Not great. Unfortunately for the Rockies, they don’t have a ton of alternatives at the moment in the ninth inning besides occasionally turning to Tyler Kinley.

Jalen Beeks didn’t give up a run and picked up a save Friday against the Dodgers.
It’s the sixth save of the season for Beeks, and the first save where he didn’t allow a run since May 13. The left-hander does have a 2.93 ERA, and he’s been one of the few pleasant surprises for the Rockies in 2024.
  • COL Relief Pitcher #68
Jalen Beeks recorded his fifth save despite giving up a run in the ninth Monday against the Guardians.
Beeks gave up a double to Tyler Freeman and a single to Andrés Giménez before finishing off the Guardians. It’s the fourth straight outing in which Beeks has allowed a run, and his stint as the Rockies’ closer might not last much longer. Victor Vodnik could be next in line in Colorado.

Jalen Beeks blew his second save in as many days against the Athletics on Thursday.
Beeks started the ninth inning with a one-run lead and immediately gave it up by allowing a home run to Athletics outfield Daz Cameron. He’s now converted just four of his seven opportunities for saves. The 30-year-old left-hander’s grip on the closer role in Colorado seems tenuous at best.

Jalen Beeks allowed one run in the ninth inning to blow the save chance against the Athletics.
Beeks was summoned to close out the game with a one-run lead in the ninth inning. A single and a walk put a runner in scoring position with two outs before Zack Gelof knocked a base hit to drive in the game-tying run. Beeks was able to keep the game tied to send it to extras. The 30-year-old left-hander is now 4-for-6 in save chances with a 2.42 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, and a 16/12 K/BB ratio across 22 1/3 innings.

Jalen Beeks protected a one-run lead in the ninth for his fourth save Monday against the Padres.
Beeks walked three in the frame before a double-play ball from Manny Machado ended the game. Beeks is pretty clearly the closer in Colorado at the moment, but pick him up at your own risk.
