    Phillies released RHP Jake Jewell.
Jewell signed a minor league contract with the Phillies back in January. The 30-year-old righty posted an inflated 7.66 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 26/14 K/BB ratio across 24 2/3 innings (22 appearances, six starts) this season for Triple-A Lehigh Valley. He last appeared in the majors during the 2021 campaign.

Phillies signed RHP Jake Jewell to a minor league contract.
Jewell spent time with the Guardians and Twins last season, but didn’t end up making an appearance in the majors, finishing with a sparkling 3.21 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 65/21 K/BB ratio across 56 innings (45 appearances) at the Triple-A level. The 29-year-old righty provides the Phillies with some extra organizational relief depth heading into the 2023 season.

Jake Jewell has elected free agency.
Jewell was up briefly with the Twins this season, but didn’t end up getting into a game. The 29-year-old righty has bounced around the last couple years and should be able to latch on as organizational relief depth somewhere this offseason.

Twins sent RHP Jake Jewell outright to Triple-A St. Paul
Jewell went unclaimed on waivers after being designated for assignment earlier this week and will remain with the Twins as emergency organizational relief depth for the home stretch. The 29-year-old righty has been up a few times, but hasn’t gotten into a game this season at the big-league level.

Twins designated RHP Jake Jewell for assignment.
This move opens up a 40-man roster spot for Louie Varland, who is making his MLB debut in a start Wednesday afternoon at Yankee Stadium. Jewell, 29, carries a career 7.75 ERA at the big league level.

Twins claimed RHP Jake Jewell off of waivers from the Guardians.
The right-hander was designated for assignment by the Guardians on Monday. Jewell has posted a terrific 2.49 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 48/15 K/BB ratio over 43 1/3 innings at Triple-A Columbus this season. He’s expected to report to Triple-A St. Paul, but should have a shot to join the Twins bullpen in relatively short order.

Guardians designate Jake Jewell for assignment.
Jewell was up briefly with the Guardians earlier this month, but didn’t end up getting into a contest before being jettisoned back to the minors. The 29-year-old righty has a shot at passing through waivers unclaimed and remaining with Cleveland as organizational relief depth.

Guardians optioned RHP Jake Jewell to Triple-A Columbus.
With Aaron Civale (wrist) returning from the injured list on Wednesday, someone needed to get the boot from the Guardians active roster and it looks as though Jewell drew the short straw this time around. Jewell has yet to appear in a big league contest this season, but has registered a terrific 2.63 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 44/15 K/BB ratio over 41 innings at Triple-A Columbus.

Guardians selected the contract of RHP Jake Jewell from Triple-A Columbus.
Jewell inked a minor league contract with the Guardians back in March and will get his first shot in Cleveland’s bullpen. The 29-year-old righty made 10 relief appearances last year for the Cubs and has posted a strong 2.63 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 44/15 K/BB ratio across 41 innings (34 appearances) this season for Triple-A Columbus.

Guardians reassigned OFs Daniel Johnson Oscar Gonzalez, LHP Adam Scott and RHPs Ian Gibaut and Jake Jewell to minor league camp.
Johnson is the most prominent inclusion among the latest cuts from Guardians’ major-league camp this spring. The 26-year-old outfielder has appeared in 35 games over the last two seasons at the big-league level. Gibaut and Jewell figure to receive a call-up at some point to bolster the Guardians’ bullpen.
