    As noted by MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand, the 27-year-old right-hander has been with three different organizations since the beginning of February; the Yankees will be his fourth. Barrett was designated for assignment by Pittsburgh on the morning of Opening Day. He owns a 5.03 ERA over his last 35 relief appearances at the major league level and will function as minor league bullpen depth for New York.
