Rangers signed RHP Jacob Webb to a one-year, $1.25 million contract.
The deal is official. Texas continues to shore up their bullpen corps by adding Webb on a short-term pact. The 31-year-old right-hander is coming off arguably the best season of his career when he finished the 2024 campaign with a solid 3.02 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 58/27 K/BB ratio across 56 2/3 innings (60 appearances). He’ll likely operate in middle relief, but could end up getting some high-leverage opportunities.

The Rangers are signing ex-Orioles reliever Jacob Webb to a one-year deal, according to FanSided’s Robert Murray.
Even though he had a 3.02 ERA in 56 2/3 innings last season and would have made less than $2 million in 2025, Webb was non-tendered by Baltimore last month. While this is just a one-year deal, the Rangers would have Webb’s arbitration rights for 2026.

    Orioles non-tendered RHP Jacob Webb.
Webb did a really nice job out of the Orioles’ bullpen in 2024, posting a 3.02 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and a 58/27 K/BB ratio across 56 2/3 innings in his 60 appearances. He had been projected by MLBTradeRumors.com to earn $1.7 million via arbitration and shouldn’t have too much trouble landing something similar or even better on the open market this winter.

Orioles activated RHP Jacob Webb from the 15-day injured list.
Webb missed six weeks with elbow inflammation. He’ll try to pitch his way back into a setup role these last couple of weeks. He has 12 holds this year, though none of those came in his final 10 appearances before being shut down.

Orioles manager Brandon Hyde told reporters that Jacob Webb (elbow) could return Sunday.
Webb was expected to return earlier in the month, but the Orioles have taken precaution with the 31-year-old in his rehab assignment. Webb will give the Orioles some added depth to the bullpen as they try and secure either the top Wild Card spot or the AL East.

Orioles manager Brandon Hyde told reporters that Jacob Webb (elbow) will likely make one more rehab appearance before returning.
Webb began a rehab assignment Sunday after missing around a month with inflammation in his elbow. The right-hander should be back soon if that appearance goes well and add quality depth to the Baltimore bullpen.

Jacob Webb (elbow) will start a minor league rehab assignment at Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday.
The 31-year-old hurler has been shut down since early August due to inflammation in his pitching elbow. He has been making nice progress in his recovery through and should only require a couple of outings on his rehab assignment before he’s ready to make his triumphant return to the O’s bullpen.

Jacob Webb (elbow) played catch on Saturday for the first time since being shut down.
The 31-year-old hurler was shut down in early August due to inflammation in his pitching elbow. It’s encouraging to see him up and throwing again already though. There’s still no clear timeline for when he may be able to rejoin the O’s bullpen, but this was a nice step in the right direction.

Orioles placed RHP Jacob Webb on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to Aug. 4, with right elbow inflammation.
Webb, one of the Orioles’ key relievers in the first half, has a 3.08 ERA in 49 2/3 innings this season. Falling down the depth chart some, he hadn’t added to his total of two saves or 12 holds in a month.

Orioles manager Brandon Hyde told reporters Saturday that he’s not sure when Craig Kimbrel will return to the closer role.
Kimbrel pitched the seventh inning on Friday against the Diamondbacks and it certainly appears that the Orioles are set on giving him some lower-leverage situations to get back on track before they consider putting him back in the ninth inning role. For now, it seems like Yennier Cano will handle any save chances that arise, while Danny Coulombe and Jacob Webb could also be in the mix.
