Cubs signed RHP Jackson Tetreault to a minor league contract.
Tetreault finds a new home with the Cubs after missing all of last year recovering from a shoulder fracture. The 27-year-old righty made four starts for the Nationals during the 2022 campaign. He’s a bit of a lottery ticket for Chicago given how much time he’s missed since undergoing shoulder surgery back in 2022.

Nationals reassigned OF Derek Hill and RHP’s Jackson Tetreault, Anthony Castro and Zach Brzykcy to minor league camp.
Hill was in camp this spring as a non-roster invitee on a minor league contract and is likely to miss a few weeks due to a right hamstring strain that he suffered last weekend. All three pitchers -- Tetreault, Castro and Brzykcy -- are also dealing with injuries this spring and will open the year rehabbing in the minors.

Jackson Tetreault (shoulder) has yet to resume throwing as he continues to recover from last year’s right scapula fracture.
Tetreault made four starts in the majors (with a 5.14 ERA over 21 innings) last year before suffering a season-ending right scapula fracture. The Nationals will take it easy with the 26-year-old in the early days of camp.

Nationals sent RHP Jackson Tetreault outright to Triple-A Rochester.
The Nationals needed to clear a spot on the 40-man roster on Tuesday to protect players from the Rule-5 draft and it looks like Tetreault was one of the casualties. The 26-year-old hurler posted a 5.14 ERA and 1.57 WHIP over 21 innings for the Nationals in 2022 before suffering a season-ending right scapula fracture.

Nationals transferred RHP Jackson Tetreault to the 60-day injured list with a right scapula fracture.
The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster for Hunter Harvey, who now comes off the 60-day injured list. It seems unlikely now that Tetreault pitches for the Nationals again this season.

Nationals placed RHP Jackson Tetreault on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to July 3, with a right scapula fracture.
Not good. Tetreault has held his own as a fill-in for the Nationals’ rotation over the last few weeks, posting a respectable 5.14 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 9/10 K/BB ratio across 21 innings (four starts). It’s unclear how much time the 26-year-old rookie right-hander will wind up missing at this point.

Jackson Tetreault struggled in Saturday’s loss to the Marlins, surrendering four runs on four hits over his four innings of work.
The right-hander struggled with his command in this one, issuing five free passes while striking out only one batter. He served up a two-run homer to Jesus Aguilar in the opening inning, then the Marlins scratched out single runs in the third and fourth innings. Tetreault generated six swings and misses on 84 pitches in the game while posting an underwhelming CSW of 21 percent. He’ll look to improve upon an uninspiring 5.14 ERA and 1.57 WHIP when he takes on the Phillies in Philadelphia on Thursday.

Jackson Tetreault surrendered one run over six innings on Sunday in a win over the Rangers.
Tetreault has certainly exceeded expectations since being summoned earlier this month to replace an injured Stephen Strasburg in the Nationals’ rotation. The 26-year-old rookie right-hander has allowed just one earned run over 13 innings in his last two starts. He’s lined up to face the Marlins on Saturday in his next outing.

Jackson Tetreault allowed three runs -- zero earned -- with two strikeouts over seven innings in a 9-3 win over the Phillies on Sunday.
After giving up seven runs over four innings in his major league debut, Tetreault fared much better in his second start. Two unearned runs would score in the fourth inning after Lane Thomas misplayed a ball in the outfield. One more run would come in the fifth on a throwing error by catcher Keibert Ruiz. Tetreault came away with the win after the Nationals provided nine runs of support. He needed just 91 pitches to get through seven innings in the efficient outing. The 26-year-old right-hander lines up for a start against the Rangers in Texas his next time out.

Jackson Tetreault was blasted for seven runs in four innings Tuesday in his major league debut as the Nationals fell to the Braves.
Tetreault struck out Ronald Acuña Jr. to start off the game but then served up a long ball to Dansby Swanson. It didn’t get much better from there, especially during a laborious third inning which saw the rookie yield five runs on five hits and a walk. If Tetreault gets another start it will either come this weekend against the Phillies or next week in Baltimore. He shouldn’t be used in fantasy in either matchup.
