Braves re-signed RHP Jackson Stephens to a minor league contract.
Stephens has made 47 relief appearances for the Braves over the last three seasons and returns to the fold as extra bullpen depth at Triple-A Gwinnett. The 30-year-old righty holds a serviceable 4.15 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 114/53 K/BB ratio across 132 1/3 innings (83 appearances) in the big leagues since 2017.

Braves re-signed RHP Jackson Stephens to a minor league contract.

Jackson Stephens has elected free agency.
The 30-year-old right-hander refused his outright assignment to Triple-A Gwinnett from the Braves and will instead peddle his wares on the open market. Stephens posted a 2.70 ERA, 1.80 WHIP and a 2/1 K/BB ratio over 3 1/3 innings in three appearances at the big league level this season.

Braves sent RHP Jackson Stephens outright to Triple-A Gwinnett.
Stephens draws the short straw in Atlanta’s bullpen with Pierce Johnson returning from the injured list ahead of Saturday’s game against the Padres. The 30-year-old righty has been removed from the club’s 40-man roster altogether following three appearances for the Braves after being called up earlier this month from Triple-A Gwinnett. He figures to be back up with Atlanta at some point later this summer, if not sooner.

Braves selected the contract of RHP Jackson Stephens.
Stephens will be a bullpen option for Atlanta, and he replaces Pierce Johnson after Johnson was placed on the 15-day injured list Saturday. Stephen has made 80 appearances at the highest level, and he isn’t likely to pitch in high-leverage situations in this stint.

Braves re-signed RHP Jackson Stephens to a minor league contract.
Stephens is back in the fold with the Braves just a few days after electing free agency following his removal from the club’s 40-man roster. The 29-year-old righty has made 80 appearances (five starts) in the big leagues since 2017. He’ll continue serving as emergency bullpen depth for Atlanta.

Braves RHP Jackson Stephens elected free agency.
The 29-year-old will test the free agent market after he was outrighted to Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday. Stephens was in line to earn a spot on Atlanta’s Opening Day roster, but when the team signed veteran Jesse Chavez, it made the right-hander expendable. Stephens pitched well during spring camp and posted a 3.00 ERA with a 11/5 K/BB ratio across 12 innings of work.

Braves sent RHP Jackson Stephens outright to Triple-A Gwinnett.
The Braves needed to free up a spot on their 40-man roster to make the signing of Jesse Chavez official and it looks like Stephens was the odd-man out this time around. Fortunately, it appears as though he passed through waivers unclaimed and will continue to function as extra bullpen depth at the Triple-A level.

Braves re-signed RHP Jackson Stephens to a one-year contract.
It’s a non-guaranteed split contract for Stephens, but he’s back on Atlanta’s 40-man roster after electing free agency earlier this month. The 29-year-old righty reliever made just five appearances this past season in the big leagues. He’s extra organizational depth for the Braves heading into next season.

Braves RHP Jackson Stephens elected free agency.
Stephens finished last season on the injured list with right elbow inflammation before finding himself removed from Atlanta’s 40-man roster heading into the offseason. The 29-year-old righty made just five relief appearances this past season in the big leagues. He’ll test the free agent waters rather than accept an outright minor league assignment.
