Jackson Holliday went 1-for-4 with a walk, a home run, and two runs scored in a win over the Rays on Sunday.
Holliday got the scoring started with a solo home run in the first inning off Ryan Pepiot. It was his 13th home run and 39th RBI of the season. Since the 21-year-old took over as the regular lead-off hitter in Baltimore, he has hit .255/.292/.409 in 56 games with eight home runs, 28 runs scored, and 26 RBI with seven steals. It’s not otherworldly production, but it’s solid work from such a young player after a really poor MLB debut last season. The arrow is still pointed firmly up for Holliday.

Ryan O’Hearn is on the bench for Wednesday’s game against the Mets.
O’Hearn takes a seat on Wednesday night with southpaw David Peterson drawing the starting assignment for New York. It’ll be Coby Mayo at first base with Jackson Holliday getting a break from the field at DH in his place. The 31-year-old first-time All-Star has cooled off recently following a blistering-hot start to the season, hitting .204 (20-for-29) with only two homers and 11 RBI over his last 30 games.

Jackson Holliday went 4-for-4 with a two-run home run in a win over the Braves on Sunday.
Holliday needed this one. The 21-year-old is having a strong season, but also came into the day hitting .223/.273/.331 in 30 games since June 1 with 38 strikeouts and nine walks. He’s up to 11 home runs on the season with 36 RBI and a .260 average, so the season itself has been great, but there will be some bumps along the way for a player who is so young. Perhaps this is a sign that he’s coming out of his cold spell.

Jackson Holliday went 3-for-5 with a three-run homer and four RBI on Monday, powering the Orioles to a lopsided 6-0 victory over the Rangers.
Holliday was responsible for Baltimore’s entire offensive output in the early stages of the contest as he scalded a run-scoring double to right field in the third inning before taking Rangers veteran lefty Patrick Corbin deep for a gargantuan 402-foot moonshot in the fifth inning. It was his ninth big fly of the season, ending a 14-game homerless drought in the process. He capped off a three-hit performance with an eighth-inning single to right field. The 21-year-old has experienced the typical ebbs and flows in production that many top prospects encounter as they acclimate to life in the majors, but he’s shown real flashes of superstar upside potential with greater frequency this season than last year’s underwhelming rookie campaign.
  • BAL Shortstop #2
Gunnar Henderson is not in the Orioles’ starting lineup for Friday’s series opener against the Yankees.
With tough left-hander Max Fried toeing the slab for the Yankees, combined with a late flight into New York on Thursday evening, O’s interim manager Tony Mansolino has given Henderson, Jackson Holliday, Cedric Mullins and Ryan O’Hearn the evening off. Expect all to be available off the bench for the right spot against a right-handed reliever. Luis Vazquez will start in Henderson’s place at shortstop and bat ninth for the O’s.

Jackson Holliday is not in the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Angels.
It’s Holliday’s first day off since May 24. He’s been struggling a bit of late, hitting .248/.275/.421 with four homers and five steals over his last 30 games. There’s been zero indication that Baltimore is considering any alternatives for the leadoff spot. It’ll be Luis Vázquez getting his first start at the keystone.

Jackson Holliday went 3-for-5 with a homer and two runs scored in a loss to the Athletics on Friday.
That homer came off J.P. Sears in the fifth, and tied the game at 4-4. He also doubled for the ninth time in 2025, while the roundtripper gives Holliday eight over the first 62 games of the season. The current .268/.320/.445 slash that the 21-year-old registers is far from a bad one, but there are signs that suggest we haven’t seen anything close to the best of Holliday just yet.

Jackson Holliday went 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored against the White Sox on Sunday.
Holliday’s double in the third inning was his eighth of the season and set the Orioles up with runners on second and third with no outs. Baltimore would capitalize with two runs scored in the inning. Holliday continues to bat leadoff under new Orioles manager Tony Mansolino. The 21-year-old second baseman is hitting .269 with a .759 OPS and 25 RBI on the year.

Jackson Holliday went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in the Orioles’ 4-2 win over the White Sox on Saturday.
Holliday started the bottom of the first inning with a leadoff homer off Davis Martin to put the Orioles on the board. It was the first leadoff home run of Holliday’s career. The 21-year-old second baseman is making tremendous strides at the dish this season, hitting .270/.320/.439 with seven homers, 25 RBI, and five steals across 203 plate appearances.

Jackson Holliday went 3-for-5 with two doubles and an RBI on Wednesday against the Cardinals.
While the rest of the Orioles’ season has all but fallen apart, Holliday has turned a corner at the plate. All three of his batted balls in this game were hard-hit and the newly minted lead-off hitter has a .297/.336/.466 slash line over his last 30 games. There aren’t many second baseman who have looked more potent at the plate lately.
