Brewers transferred RHP JB Bukauskas to the 60-day injured list.
The 27-year-old right-hander has been shelved since April 14 due to a right lat sprain, and now it looks like he’s going to be out for a while. While he’s making some progress in his recovery, he’s not close to beginning a minor league rehab assignment just yet. This was done primarily as a procedural move by the Brewers to open up a spot on their 40-man roster for Friday’s scheduled starter, Robert Gasser.

It’s an unfortunate situation for the 30-year-old. The concussion happened when Megill was at a Spectrum store on a scheduled off-day and fainted and fell. J.B. Bukauskas was called up from Nashville to fill a roster spot for Milwaukee.

Brewers placed RHP J.B. Bukauskas on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to September 25, with a right ring finger tendon injury.
There isn’t a definitive timetable here for Bukauskas, but it certainly sounds like he’s done for the remainder of the season, including the playoffs. The 26-year-old righty has made five scoreless relief appearances this season at the big league level.

Wade Miley recorded seven strikeouts over six shutout innings on Thursday in a win over the Cardinals.
Miley and relievers J.B. Bukauskas and Julio Teheran combined on a six-hit shutout on Thursday afternoon against a lifeless Cardinals’ lineup. The 36-year-old southpaw scattered three hits and a pair of walks over six frames to cruise to a relatively easy win. He’ll bring a solid 3.20 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 77/37 K/BB ratio across 115 1/3 innings (22 starts) into a rematch against the Cardinals on Tuesday in his final regular-season outing.
