Grant McCray went 1-for-3 with a triple and a RBI on Sunday against the Royals.
McCray’s athleticism is so evident in his game. He blazed around the bases on his triple which scored the Giants’ first run and he came around to score on a Brett Wisely single for their second and final run. He hasn’t hit much with just a .678 OPS since being called up, but is a great defender in center field which might keep him in the mix to become a regular beyond this season.

Grant McCray went 2-for-2 with two walks, three runs scored, and two steals in a win over the Orioles.
McCray has struggled in September, coming into today, hitting just .189 in 11 games, so the effort was certainly nice to see. The 23-year-old now has five steals and five home runs in 26 games on the season, which has demonstrated a modest power/speed combo. He remains simply on deep league radars for fantasy purposes.

Grant McCray homered twice and drove in five runs in a 6-3 win for the Giants on Saturday over the Padres.
McCray was “only” credited with five RBI, but he was responsible for all six runs scoring. On top of the two homers, he also hit into a double play that scored a run, but rules say you don’t get credited for an RBI there because reasons. McCray has homered five times in just 19 games with the Giants, and he’s slugging a robust .569 in his 65 at-bats. That’s not even kind of sustainable, but it does show you there’s some pop in the 23-year-old’s bat.

Grant McCray blasted a tie-breaking solo homer and also stole a base on Tuesday, propelling the Giants to a 5-4 victory over the Brewers.
McCray has seemingly checked all of the boxes for fantasy purposes since receiving a callup earlier this month, batting .308 (12-for-39) with three homers and two steals in 11 contests. The plate skills clearly need some refinement as he’s struck out 17 times during that span, but there’s some power/speed combo appeal here. The 23-year-old rookie took Brewers starter Tobias Myers deep for a go-ahead homer in the fifth inning in this one as he continues to make an unexpected impact for San Francisco.

Grant McCray homered and went 2-for-3 with two RBI in a victory over Atlanta on Thursday.
McCray drove in his first ever run on a bunt single off Max Fried. He connected on his first MLB homer in the sixth inning on a solo shot off Jesse Chavez. McCray is here to provide outfield depth, and while Thursday was a wonderful day for the rookie, it’s hard to predict similar results going forward.
  • SF Outfielder
Giants selected the contract of OF Grant McCray from Triple-A Sacramento.
It’s the first trip to the big leagues for the 23-year-old outfielder. McCray was a third-round selection by the Giants from the 2019 draft class. He has split his 2024 season between Triple-A Sacramento and Double-A Richmond where he has slashed .242/.330/.446 with 12 homers, 53 RBI, 14 stolen bases and a 121/45 K/BB ratio across 421 plate appearances. He’ll add bench depth for the Giants.
