Shohei Ohtani is at DH and leading off for the National League in the 2025 MLB All-Star Game.
Ohtani closed out the first half with a senior circuit-leading 32 round-trippers and a sparkling 1.00 ERA across nine innings. The 31-year-old two-way sensation spearheads an absolute Death Star of a lineup that features Atlanta’s primary igniter Ronald Acuña Jr., in addition to a pair of his Los Angeles teammates in Freddie Freeman and Will Smith. Here is the full lineup that will take the field on Tuesday evening at Truist Park in Atlanta for the Midsummer Classic: Ohtani (DH), Acuña Jr. (LF), Ketel Marte (2B), Freeman (1B), Manny Machado (3B), Smith (C), Kyle Tucker (RF), Francisco Lindor (SS) and Pete Crow-Armstrong (CF).

Freddie Freeman went 2-for-5 with a double and a pair of RBI on Sunday afternoon, propelling the Dodgers to a 5-2 victory over the Giants in 11 innings.
Freeman opened the scoring in the ballgame with an RBI double off of left-hander Robbie Ray in the fourth inning. He then delivered a go-ahead single off of Spencer Bivens in the 11th inning that gave the Dodgers a 3-2 advantage and came around to score on an RBI single by Andy Pages. With his two-hit attack, the 35-year-old slugger finishes the first half hitting .297/.365/.476 with 10 homers, 49 RBI and one stolen base.

Freddie Freeman doubled twice and drove in three runs to help the Dodgers to a win Thursday over the White Sox.
Freeman doubled in Shohei Ohtani in the first, and then doubled home Ohtani and Mookie Betts in the third. The 35-year-old slugger is now up to 47 RBI, and after a .200/.283/.274 slash line in June, perhaps this will be the start of another hot month.

Freddie Freeman hit a walk-off single in the ninth inning to give the Dodgers a 5-4 victory over the White Sox on Wednesday.
With the score tied at 4-4, Freeman singled in Shohei Ohtani to give the Dodgers the win on a day that will best be remembered for Clayton Kershaw picking up strikeout number 3,000. Freeman is now hitting .309/.381/.500 on the season, and it seems pretty likely he’ll be joining Kershaw in Cooperstown someday.

Shohei Ohtani led the National League in balloting for the 2025 MLB All-Star Game.
Ohtani earned an automatic starting berth as the senior circuit’s leading vote-getter in phase one balloting for the upcoming Midsummer Classic, which will be played on July 15 at Truist Park in Atlanta. The 30-year-old two-way sensation won’t pitch in the event, but he’s going for a fifth straight season after reaching the 30-homer plateau earlier this week. Here’s the rest of the NL starting lineup: Will Smith (C), Freddie Freeman (1B), Ketel Marte (2B), Francisco Lindor (SS), Manny Machado (3B), Ronald Acuña Jr. (OF), Pete Crow-Armstrong (OF), Kyle Tucker (OF) and Ohtani (DH). The rest of the NL roster, including pitchers and reserves, will be announced this weekend.

Freddie Freeman is not in the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Royals.
Freeman has been struggling a bit of late, hitting .175 (10-for-57) with just one homer and two RBI over his last 15 games. He’ll take a seat for the second time in the past nine games for Los Angeles with Enrique Hernández filling in at the cold corner to face Kansas City lefty Kris Bubic.

Freddie Freeman went 3-for-3 with two walks, two runs scored and a solo home run against the Royals on Saturday.
Freeman’s home run was No. 10 on the season. The 35-year-old first baseman’s last home run was on May 11 as he went 41 games without a home run in-between. Freeman is hitting .312 with an .895 OPS and 43 RBI on the year. While his production has been solid overall, it’s an open question as to whether he’ll finish the season as strong given his age and recent injury problems.

Freddie Freeman is not in the Dodgers’ starting lineup for Friday night’s battle against the Nationals.
It appears to be nothing more than a routine day of rest for the 35-year-old slugger, though Freeman has been playing through a minor quad injury. Max Muncy is also taking a seat with tough southpaw MacKenzie Gore on the hill for the Nationals. Enrique Hernandez will cover first base for Freeman while Miguel Rojas will start at the hot corner and bat ninth for the Dodgers.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters that Freddie Freeman is currently dealing with a quad injury.
Freeman is playing through the injury, but Roberts noted that the infielder won’t be able to run 100 percent. The 35-year-old has been in the lineup every day for close to two months since returning from the injured list, and as long as there’s no setback, it sounds like he’ll be able to play through this ailment.

Freddie Freeman is not in the starting lineup for Thursday’s game against the Mets.
Freeman will get the series finale against the Mets off. The 35-year-old will get a breather with Enrique Hernandez handling first base against southpaw David Peterson.
