Rangers re-signed RHP Fernery Ozuna to a minor league contract.
Ozuna converted to pitching full-time over the last few years with the Rangers and compiled a respectable 4.91 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 73/22 K/BB ratio across 62 1/3 innings (48 appearances) last season between Double-A Frisco and Triple-A Round Rock. The 27-year-old former infielder might have a shot to make the majors as a reliever down the road. He’ll continue to serve as organizational relief depth for Texas in the upper minors.
