The Giants have extended the contract of president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi through 2026.
They also announced that new manager Bob Melvin’s contract would run through 2026. Zaidi has been the Giants’ POBO for five years. The team has topped .500 just once in those seasons, but that was a brilliant campaign that saw them win 107 games in 2021. As a result, the team is still 38 games over .500 during his tenure. Zaidi previously worked with Melvin in Oakland.
