  • NYY Center Fielder #80
Yankees OF prospect Everson Pereira underwent season-ending Tommy John surgery earlier this month.
Pereira got into 27 contests last year for New York and will wind up missing the remainder of the 2024 campaign. The 23-year-old prospect attempted to play through the issue before ultimately electing to have season-ending surgery. He should be a full-go by the time spring training rolls around.

Yankees OF prospect Everson Pereira will miss the remainder of the season with an undisclosed injury.
There should be some clarity on his status in the coming days, but Pereira hasn’t played since May 19 for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and has now been placed on the full-season injured list. The 23-year-old made his big-league debut last season when he got into 27 games for New York.
  • NYY Center Fielder #80
Yankees OF prospect Everson Pereira went 3-for-4 with two homers and four RBI on Thursday for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Pereira struggled last year in a brief 14-game cameo with the Yankees, but has always flashed some big-time power upside. The 23-year-old outfielder still needs to curb his propensity to swing and miss if he’s going to make an impact at the highest level. He certainly looks like a Quad-A masher at the moment, but could easily make the leap into a quality big-league contributor if his plate skills take a step forward.
  • NYY Center Fielder #93
Yankees optioned OF Everson Pereira to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
The 22-year-old outfielder struggled in his first taste of big league action in 2023 — slashing a woeful .151/.233/.194 with no homers, 10 RBI, four stolen bases and a 40/8 K/BB ratio across 103 plate appearances. He was never serious candidate to crack the team’s Opening Day roster though. It’ll take an injury or two ahead of him for Pereira to get an opportunity with the Bombers in 2024.

Everson Pereira (hamstring) has returned to the Yankees’ lineup for Monday’s series finale against the Diamondbacks.
Pereira is back in left field and batting ninth on Monday after missing eight of New York’s last nine games due to a low-grade hamstring strain. The rookie outfielder suffered the injury last week when he slipped on wet dugout steps at Fenway Park.

Everson Pereira (hamstring) is not in the Yankees’ lineup for Sunday’s contest against the Diamondbacks.
Pereira has missed a week with a low-grade hamstring strain. With remnants of Tropical Storm Ophelia still working its way up the East Coast, it is no surprise that the Yankees wouldn’t want Pereira tracking down fly balls in the wet outfield grass. Isiah Kiner-Falefa will play left field while batting sixth on Sunday.

Everson Pereira (hamstring) remains absent from the Yankees’ lineup for Thursday’s series finale against the Blue Jays.
Pereira has missed six of New York’s last seven games due to a low-grade hamstring strain. The rookie outfielder suffered the injury last week when he slipped on wet dugout steps at Fenway Park, but has managed to avoid a trip to the injured list so far.

Everson Pereira (hamstring) remains out of the Yankees’ lineup for Wednesday’s game against the Blue Jays.
Pereira is sitting for the fifth time in New York’s last six games due to a low-grade hamstring strain. The rookie outfielder suffered the injury last week when he slipped on wet dugout steps at Fenway Park, but has managed to avoid a trip to the injured list so far.

Yankees’ skipper Aaron Boone told reporters on Tuesday that outfielder Everson Pereira is dealing with a low-grade hamstring strain.
The 22-year-old isn’t expected to require a trip to the injured list — but it sounds like he’ll miss at least a couple of games. Pereira is just 10-for-70 (.143) with seven RBI and four stolen bases in his limited action with the Yankees this season.
  • NYY Center Fielder #93
Everson Pereira reached twice, stole two bases and scored twice Tuesday as the Yankees topped the Red Sox 4-1 in the second game of a doubleheader.
This was a throwback game, as the Yankees and Red Sox managed to draw a 4-1 game out for 3 hours and 39 minutes. Pereira singled and walked to improve to .152/.253/.197 in 75 plate appearances since being called up. The Yankees might have to back off him just a little bit in the final couple of weeks in order to keep him Rookie of the Year eligible, but that he’s batting ninth for a mediocre offensive team is helping to keep his at-bat total down.
