Low Single-A Lakewood’s Edgar Garcia faced just three batters Monday before leaving with an undisclosed injury.
The 19-year-old Garcia is viewed as one of the Phillies’ top prospects. He’s 3-5 with a 4.64 ERA, 90 H and 55/20 K/BB in 75 2/3 IP in the Sally League this year.

Edgar Garcia returned to the mound for SS Single-A Williamsport on Thursday and allowed one run in 3 1/3 innings.
Garcia hadn’t pitched since leaving his June 25 start with a knee injury. He was at low Single-A Lakewood before he was hurt, but it sounds like he’ll make at least a couple of more starts for Williamsport.
