Mets agreed to terms with RHP Dylan Covey on a one-year contract,
Despite Covey not pitching in the majors in 2024, he did have 17 appearances at Triple-A for the Phillies, posting a 1.35 ERA in those outings. The 33-year-old has leaned on a cutter/splitter pairing a bit more in 2023 which gives him a little bit of intrigue given what the Mets were able to get out of their free-agent signings from last year like Luis Severino and Sean Manaea.

Phillies activated RHP Dylan Covey from the 60-day injured list; sent him outright to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
The move keeps Covey off the 40-man roster. Covey has missed all of the 2024 season with a right shoulder strain, and will need to be added back to the 40-man in order to pitch for the Phillies before the season ends.

Phillies transferred RHP Dylan Covey to the 60-day injured list.
The procedural move opens up a spot on Philadelphia’s 40-man roster for the club to claim Freddy Tarnok off waivers from the Athletics. Covey has been out all season due to a right shoulder strain.

Phillies placed RHP Dylan Covey on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to March 25, with a right shoulder strain.
Covey was sidelined during spring camp when he suffered shoulder tightness. There’s no estimate on how long it will take the 32-year-old to get back on the mound.

Dylan Covey will start the season on the injured list with shoulder tightness, MLB.com’s Todd Zolecki reports.
Covey was sidelined at the beginning of March and it will take some time before the 32-year-old can get back on the bump again. Covey registered a 3.77 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 30/17 K/BB ratio over 43 innings (29 appearances) last season for the Phillies.

Corey Seidman of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports that Dylan Covey has been sidelined at Phillies’ camp due to tightness in his right shoulder.
It’s unclear how long the 32-year-old right-hander will be sidelined for. Covey registered a 3.77 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and a 30/17 K/BB ratio over 43 innings in 29 appearances with the Phillies during the 2023 campaign.

Phillies and RHP Dylan Covey avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $850,000 contract.
Covey landed on the injured list at the conclusion of the 2023 campaign with lower back pain after compiling a solid 3.77 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 30/17 K/BB ratio across 43 innings (29 appearances) this season in the big leagues. The 32-year-old journeyman right-hander figures to continue pitching in low-leverage spots for Philadelphia.

Dylan Covey (back) threw a bullpen session on Thursday.
Covey landed on the injured list just prior to the conclusion of the regular season with lower back pain, and could wind up being in the mix for a spot on the Phillies’ NLCS roster, if they manage to close out the Braves in the NLDS. The 32-year-old journeynan right-hander pitched to a solid 3.77 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 30/17 K/BB ratio across 43 innings (29 appearances) this season in the big leagues.

Phillies placed RHP Dylan Covey on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to September 28, with lower back pain.
The 32-year-old hurler will miss the remainder of the season. He finishes the 2023 campaign with an underwhelming 3.77 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and a 30/17 K/BB ratio over 43 innings in his 29 appearances. Luis Ortiz was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley in a corresponding move on Saturday to take his place in the Phillies’ bullpen.

Dylan Covey was absolutely obliterated in Sunday night’s loss to the Braves, giving up seven runs (five earned) on six hits in just 2/3 of an inning.
Yikes. That’s a way to potentially get designated for assignment. The brutal inning on Sunday included a pair of towering home runs -- a 464-foot two-run moonshot by Matt Olson and a 412-foot blast by Matt Olson. He was mercifully pulled after facing nine hitters, and the two inherited runners that he left on base ultimately scored after his exit. Covey didn’t get a single swing and miss on 30 pitches in the game, registering a complete failure of a 13 percent CSW. It’s unlikely he’ll make another start for the Phillies.
