DL Hall was tagged for five runs in three innings Sunday against the Diamondbacks.
Hall had impressed since returning from the minors, but his three walks caused problems today, and he gave up five hits despite allowing just three hard-hit balls. It’s possible he’ll get another start against the Diamondbacks next weekend, but it seems more likely that he’ll work in relief instead.

Brewers recalled LHP DL Hall from Triple-A Nashville.
As expected, Hall is up with rosters expanding to 28 on Sunday. The 25-year-old will likely see some starts with Milwaukee, but also could be a weapon out of the bullpen for the final month.

Brewers optioned LHP DL Hall to Triple-A Nashville.
Hall was outstanding in the second game of Friday’s doubleheader against the Reds, striking out five over seven scoreless innings, in his first big league outing since April. The 25-year-old left-hander figures to return in early September when the Brewers need him to take the ball again.

DL Hall blanked the Reds for seven innings as the Brewers cruised to a 14-0 win in the second game of Friday’s doubleheader.
Hall was only up as the 27th man today, so he’ll be returning to the minors tomorrow. Still, he made a great case for more starts next month. He was in total control in this one, throwing a mere 84 pitches to get his 21 outs, and he looks like someone who might be a factor in mixed leagues down the stretch.

Brewers recalled LHP DL Hall from Triple-A Nashville as the 27th man for Friday’s doubleheader against the Reds.
Hall is set to start the second game of the doubleheader. No corresponding move is necessary as he’ll be the 27th man for the doubleheader and already had a spot on the 40-man roster. Hall has made 20 starts combine between the major and minor leagues this year with mixed results. He has a 6.43 ERA and 2.09 WHIP with 22 strikeouts in 21 innings over five major league starts. He can be safely left on the waiver wire for this start against the Reds.

DL Hall is expected to be added to the Brewers’ roster prior to Friday’s doubleheader against the Reds.
Hall might start Game 2 or at least throw a few innings in relief. Hall struggled in his last start for Nashville, but he’s otherwise pitched well of late, including in his lone major league outing against the Reds earlier this month.

Brewers optioned LHP DL Hall to Triple-A Nashville.
Hall’s long-awaited return from the IL on Sunday was more good than bad, but he’s still being swapped out for the returning Bryan Hudson. He’ll surely get more chances if he remains healthy.

DL Hall fanned nine while allowing three runs in 4 2/3 innings Sunday against the Reds.
Hall had it all working for three innings today, but he couldn’t keep it going, which is understandable. Given that it was his first start back from the injured list, it’s odd that he was left in as long as he was. The season-high 92 pitches he threw today topped his total from his last rehab start by 28.

Brewers activated LHP DL Hall off the 60-day injured list.
Hall is active and will start Sunday’s game against the Reds. The left-hander missed time with a knee injury and then a contusion in his forearm. He should be stretched out enough to go five-plus innings, but he may be on a bit of a pitch limit in his first outing back from the injured list.

DL Hall allowed one run in four innings in his latest start for Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday.
Hall came out after 64 pitches last night, even though he was up to 77 in his previous start. It seems like he’s about due to be activated after 13 rehab starts spread out over three separate rehab stints. The right-hander was originally shut down by a knee injury, and he was set back by a forearm contusion when he was hit by a comebacker last month.
