Denyi Reyes has signed a one-year, $800,000 contract with the Samsung Lions of the Korea Baseball Organization.
Reyes, who can earn an additional $200,000 through performance-based bonuses in the deal, was removed from the Mets’ 40-man roster earlier this offseason and will take his talents overseas to Korea. The 27-year-old righty made a career-high nine appearances (three starts) this past season in the big leagues, but will earn considerably more in Korea.

Mets sent RHP Denyi Reyes outright to Triple-A Syracuse.
Reyes wound up making a career-high nine appearances (three starts) this past season for the Mets, but is merely emergency starting pitching depth at this stage of his career. The 27-year-old righty should be able to find another opportunity, but will likely have to settle for a minor league pact with an invitation to spring training.

Mets recalled RHP Denyi Reyes from Triple-A Syracuse.
With Joey Lucchesi not scheduled to start again this season after Wednesday’s victory over the Marlins, the Mets chose to utilize that roster spot for an extra bullpen arm over the final days of the regular season. Reyes has made eight appearances (three starts) for the Mets this season, compiling a 6.23 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and a 15/7 K/BB ratio across 17 1/3 innings.

Mets optioned RHP Denyi Reyes to Triple-A Syracuse.
The 26-year-old hurler was used in a spot start against the Rangers on Wednesday, where he gave up just two runs over 5 1/3 innings of work. He wasn’t going to be available for a couple of days still though, and the Mets wanted to add a fresh arm to their bullpen, so unfortunately Reyes was the odd man out. He should get another opportunity with the Mets before the 2023 season concludes.

Denyi Reyes was charged with two runs over 5 1/3 innings on Wednesday in a no-decision against the Rangers.
Reyes took the ball in place of Kodai Senga on Wednesday evening in a spot start and gave up only three hits, including a fourth-inning solo homer to Corey Seager, managing to work into the sixth inning of this one. He finished with three strikeouts and didn’t issue a walk. He could wind up sticking around to make a couple more starts for New York before the regular season wraps up.

Mets recalled RHP Denyi Reyes from Triple-A Syracuse.
Reyes will take the ball on Wednesday night in a spot start against the Rangers. The 26-year-old righty has made seven appearances (two starts) this season for the Mets. He’s obviously not a recommended option for fantasy managers.

Mets optioned RHP Denyi Reyes to Triple-A Syracuse.
The 26-year-old hurler gave up five runs over 4 2/3 innings in a loss to the Braves in the first game of Saturday’s doubleheader. Since he wouldn’t be available for the second game, the Mets sent him out in order to add a fresh arm to an overworked bullpen. He should get another opportunity with the big league club before the season is through.

Denyi Reyes coughed up five runs over 4 2/3 innings on Saturday in a loss to the Braves.
Reyes took the ball for a spot start in the first game of Saturday’s twin bill against the Braves and wound up surrendering eight hits against a surging Atlanta lineup. He notched four strikeouts and also issued four walks. The only positive here is that he was able to work into the fifth inning to spare New York’s bullpen.
